I'm having way too much fun on my Elf Slayer to either give a crap, or think that Overhand after Combo Attack #4 interrupts and supercedes the damage it deals one some races and genders. Instead, I try to wait a tad after the hit registers (numbers pop up) before trying to interrupt the skill animation, in order not to interrupt the skill use.

Also, since I don't use Combo Attack into Overhand, focusing on bigger abilities which aren't cancelled by Overhand, this isn't an issue for me and nor should it be for you.
