There probably will not be damage meters because this game promotes teamwork instead of stat crunching. Maybe they will put it in though, I miss being able to see my DPS efficiency.
Back on topic though, the launch was only an issue for some people. I am guessing since the 2 PvP servers that I know about still had 1 hour waiting periods for a good while when the servers came up I would guess you are one of the unlucky ones. Did the server crash today? Hang in there, the servers will balance out soon enough.

AIONs launch was terribad... random DC's, que lines, 7-8 random log in errors, ip address issues, server time zone switch the day before so everyone had to re-figure where they were going, not to mention video card issues and DirectX issues.

This wasnt bad at all.

I haven't had any issues with OBT or launch. Fortunately, I wasn't in one of the heavily populated servers though, which might be why I had a trouble free experience. No lag, no queues. Good job EM

All these people complaining unable to play - yet I have been able to play everday (minus maintenance).

It never ceases to amaze me at how people try to justify a poor service with pharses like:

"someone has never played a MMO before...."
"launches are always rough...."
"clearly you are new to MMO's...."

If 10 million+ people just stopped buying MMORPG products tomorrow, do you really think they would continue with this poor quaility of service in the next MMORPG title release? Not only is this release a complete shambles, it has been the most un-orthodox and un-cooridnated I have seen in the last decade, Vanguard wasn't even this bad.

This kind of piss poor attitude towards a means of justification for bad service is what is killing this industry and not just this industry, but many like it. You people simply do not understand the value of a dollar in todays economic debacle.

Man, for such a "bumpy" launch its been smooth as silk for me. Not had a single problem, no server crashs, no lines, no errors, nothing at all. You sure we are playing the same game?

I mean the most evil thing they had was the slightly longer maintenance the other day, but that was no biggy. The ones i'm use to playing go down for 24 hours for patchs, so meh.

Honestly Tera has had few problems with the launch. People just like to be drama queens and blow it out of proportion.

Though you want to see a bad first day? should have seen GW2 servers open up for week end beta. Oh boy, their servers were no where near ready for the small load they got slammed with. Maybe even SWTOR's website on launch day? 3-4 hours to load one page due to all the DC errors, god forbid you had to go back a page for something. Lets see, Aoc was also bad at launch with server load unable to be handled, darkfall fell to this too, Even Eve online suffered from it, Plus from what i hear Wow also had the same problem.

Its been bad since CBT5 and OBT dude, wake up. It didn't just simply, get bad on release.

Despite the blinkers you have on, thread generation doesn't lie and the fact that they actually *announced* it in the news section pubicly they are working hard to rectify 3 main issues plaguing people in a large mass, pretty much sums it up.

Now you keep on pretending there is no issue, while a large amount of subscribers and people now on the fence about buying this product continue to have issues.

bumpiest launch ever ???? have you ACTUALLY been playing this game ?? i think someone let a WoW fanboy in the room !!
personally this has been a flawless launch for me. a few server crashes is all ive had to endure , and even then , it wasnt very long or very bad. this has easily been one of the BEST mmo launches ever !!
please actually play more than one mmo in your life before you post on launch history anymore. you really make yourself look uneducated !
