Could you widen the rear arc of monsters. It seems to only be 15 degrees wide, maybe 30-40 degrees would be better. Multiple times i would be swinging my axe directly into its back but still only critting for 2x rather than 3.5 times. This also is more pronounced with a BAM that is 5 meters wide, but if you aren't hitting it from the dead centre of its width you won't be hitting its rear arc.

Played a Slayer and Zerk up to lvl 22 this CBT 2, this are some of the things both hubby and I noticed: sorry if its too long.
1. swimming / water physics: awfully good visually, you swim but not dive.(Hoping to see a sea monster even or a fish sooner in later patches). And running in shallow waters really don't give you the visuals of water splashing nor see any ripples.
2. On screenshots:we cant disable the healthbar on top of the character your with or people beside you, its odd though because we did disable the name tag.
3. Camp fire: regen on stamina and HP bar should be a little faster especially when idle.
4. picking up loots while mounted will have a message of "you cant do that right now" may we have an auto dismount pls. And talking to any Npc should at least auto dismount you too, some Npc's are crowded with horses on some occasions, and the collision detection is making things worst.
4. We did a quest on the starting zone where you need to kill centaurs, 10 or 15 of them, i forgot exactly how many but the kills should alternate between me and hubby. It got to a point where he completed his but the 3 kills counted to him instead of mine. So we ended up killing the remaining more again. Gathering quest on group was great, just have to gather simultaneously and it will count as one. I liked that!
5. (it counts as gathering aswell?) Cheering after gathering from a corpse was an a disturbing sight and not a nice thing to do (and yes killing those little tuwangis made me shiever...imo haha). Can we have an option to disable cheering after gathering for that matter?
last
6. Zerk and Slayer in most part have some same skills like: retaliate, tenacity and shout for one. On Zerks some skill that have levels 1-3 : you press the spacebar to charge up the skill till you reach max level and the skill animation powerup is an indicator aswell, e.g. cyclone and thunderstrike. And the amount of damage output is different if released early. On the other hand, the Slayers skill animation that have levels in them doesn't have any indicator. I understand the Slayer's hit animation is faster than the Zerks' but "Would" it be nice to have an indicator as well for the slayer on some of the skill they are using, maybe not a long horizontal bar that the Zerks have but dots instead? (they are both using one handed weapon imo). I understand though the physics involved for the plate wearing Zerk versus the leather armor wearing Slayer from their defense strategy alone "Evasive roll" and "Axeblock" of the former. And it wont hurt either if Zerks can "roll" too, not flip though, just roll out of danger not just block especially when fighting BAMS.
Thanks.

This is one of the few CBT's that I've actually enjoyed, but since you're looking for feedback, I'll give you what I personally think is kind of off.

1) NEW EQUIPMENT THAT'S EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOUR CURRENT ONE, JUST A DIFFERENT SHADE OF PURPLE WITH MORE STATS. More variety please.

2) People's names not showing up until they're right next to you; for some reason, their name tag above their character doesn't show up until they're 3m away from you. Either this is for identification purposes, or there's some latency issues, but potential gankers can run up next to you, turn on their PvP and gank you without warning.

3) Quests are snoring. Fetch quests without the fetch, pretty much. I don't mind them as much though, when I'm just passing time with quest grinding, but when all my friends wanted to do Bastion and they all had quests for the dungeon, I kinda missed out.

4) Memory issues; when in large towns, there's probably 30-75 people in 1 chunk that your computer has to remember, but when you turn certain directions, the game tends to 'chop' or freeze briefly to load characters, making traveling in towns a chore.

5) Optimization; although I can run the game on the highest settings fine, there's some points in the game where I have to turn it down because framerate > visuals, especially in dungeons where animations and framerates have to be dead on. The game looks like poop at preset 0, but on my GPU monitoring, my card is only being used 45%-75%. I'd like the game to use my entire GPU so I get an ample amount of frames/second, instead of it synching to my display's refresh rate.

6) (Healing w/ Focus Heal) A neat idea, but has some flaws. 1) 3D space on a 2D screen with the camera on the same axis as your crosshair. I'm having trouble putting this into words so I'll try my best. When you have 4 party members and they're standing in a line at different distances. You can't target party members behind the first member because their 'hit boxes' are behind something.. To heal the members behind the first, you would need to change your position to get a better angle on the other members.

7) Economy; when I first started playing, I thought the prices were ridiculously high. 10k for a teleport scroll? Oh man, time to walk. Then I got to lvl 20 and it wasn't so bad, but it seemed really unfair for the beginner island since most of their quests are travel and gather. What's even worse is that most of your armor sells for a fraction of what it costs and broker prices are 5x what it's valued at. It'd also be awesome if Runescape's general store was implemented, where you sold your stuff to 1 merchant who pools it all together and fixes the prices for everyone to buy from.

8) Flying. I like the scenic route the Pegasus takes, but it gets really boring the 2nd and 10th time you use it. Instead of detouring and making my GPU hot for no reason, how about implementing 2 flight options; default at its current prices and express at 2x the cost without the detours, just straight to your destination.

9) User interface; I didn't like it when I first started playing, it was ugly and and reminded me of every Korean MMO out there, but I managed to make it work somehow. If there were different styles for each UI piece, that would be nice. Right now, as a healer, the party member windows are wayyyyyy too big to be on my screen and since everyone either plays Elin or Castanic, it's near impossible to tell the difference between who is who. Party member's names should be different colors so when I see Blue is need of healing, I find Blue and heal him instead of looking back and forth trying to find out who xXxELiN4EvAxXx is. There should be a way for me to mark all of my party members. Maybe a colored silhouette, different colored name, a colored glow, something, so I can get my heals off without trying to figure out which Elin is which.

10) PvP. Town borders = safe zones. There's a lot of outlaws who like to exploit this because they can catch people off guard AND get saved by the same border. Outlaws need to have steeper penalties, there's no reason why they should be protected under the same system as non-outlaws.

Replay Value--I am taking the Closed beta, as a closed beta. I am not spending all day in chat comparing tera to other games or talking about SWTOR and WOW. With that being said I attempted to try each class up to level 11 at least and a couple to about twenty. The only issue i had is the lack of change between day and night or weather changes in zones. This essentially allows you to have two zones withing one zone and the player experience there doesnt become as monotinous soo fast--especially for alt junkies------This is if --you would like people to stick around long enough to make alts!

I had a few issues, namely a lot of graphical lag. I want to write it off as my computer setup, but however, my setup well over met the graphical settings for this game. (Not to mention, I know a few others who had the same issues as well.) I also had this quirky problem, where playing as a Berserker, I'd sometimes block and well... I could never UNBLOCK.

Only way it'd stop is if someone knocked me down or I force restart the game.

Another issue I kind of had is the ganking. Anyone can jump you anywhere, at any time, sans the towns or checkpoints. Now don't get me wrong, but when you can have like 10 or so people all jumping one person, it's like... really? It can happen constantly at any time as well.

I think people who use outlaw whatnot, should have a 30 to and hour cooldown on the skill after using it. That way, they'll have to choose more wisely when to use it. Or they could even get a penalty, such as losing some of their gear/money (it drops so another player can get it.) if they fail in killing folks. It'd make people more careful in using it and add more risk/rewards to folks who have to put up with getting jumped half the time.

I know the game isn't nearly done for us yet, so I'm sure I expect more stuff out of this, but I'm sure for people who do outlaw, there should be some pretty amazing quests for them down the line that will lead to great items, which will be the reason why they'd want to outlaw so much.

If I have any other ideas, i'll post them later.

I also agree with a lot that was said here, sans a few key points.

I tend to like the quests however, and if you check your quest logs and click the names and such in them, it should show you were the next part of the quest should always be, not to mention the mini-map/navagation map usually show you where the next potential quests are. (so they really aren't that hard to find.) I tend to like the quests, since I actually read the plot and such and won't complain there.

However, I agree STRONGLY with the character in town memory or just the map period. I have the unlimited tab on for a reason so that it can remember, but it never seems to last. For what reasons? I haven't the slightest. And the same gear with different names can be quite a chore, but I kind of see where it can be fine where you have a normal white named item and then a green enigma primed one.

Why?

Simply because you can build more onto the primed one, while the normal white one may as well just be a typical default weapon you could normally by at a npc weapons shop.

And another thing: When swimming in a lake patch with MONSTERS running around in it, (Fairy garden, im looking at you.) if they surround me, I'm trapped without being able to do a thing. There really, REALLY needs to be some sort of in water attacks or evasions you can do while in the water.

Great game.. Loved the gameplay and the visuals of the world especially.
All I can really say is rethink the spell/casting/aura visuals.
TERA is such a beautiful game but when the spells, auras for buffs/debuffs, or anything of that sort are not showy or colorful enough, it kind of diminishes the game.
It is a fantasy game after all!
Not way too much visual though, we don't want to make it too commercial in my opinion.
Or like Iris..

I only had a few problems.

This only started this weekend, it didn't happen during CB1. When I would alt-tab out (I'm playing in windowed mode) and I would come back in, I wouldn't be able to use any skills via hotkeys or with the mouse. I could however hit escape and bring up the menu and log out (which was the only thing that would fix the problem).

Also, I had mapped some of the bars and I had a skill mapped to Shift+2, sometimes when I would cast any spell, it would immediately cast what was on Shift+2 if it was off cooldown. It was very annoying and got me killed alot (because it was a charge ability and I couldn't cancel it to move out the way). The only way to fix it was relog and eventually I moved that skill off Shift+2.

I had many more crashes during CB2.. I didn't have any crashes in the first CB. I would get a generic network error and have to close the launcher completely and relog back in.

Overall, this game is absolutely amazing.. I play both SWToR and WoW actively and it is hard to go back to those games after playing in the Betas.

Why does it have to be this way? I am trying so hard to get use to the for mouse for weapons instead of for moving around. I spent most of my time struggling with that and using the keyboard for things I am not use to. So, I didn't get past lvl 19 and found it hard to see past my own frustrations. I saw to many players complaining about this in the game chat so I didn't mention it then because of the ridicule they were taking for bringing up. I did see one person say they got round this somehow but it was scrolling so fast I could find them to ask how.

The graphics are beautiful. The avatar movements are so smooth and fluid. The toons a just plain fun to watch.

A few things that I did notice seem wrong:

The prices of identification scrolls??? Is 500,000 plus to much. I wish I had time to check the prices of more items. I know I would never pay that I just sold all the gear. To bad I could have really used it.

Crafting. There was a point where you can make 25 of one item to complete a quest for crafting. I took them all thinking it would be fun. I was not able to afford to complete any of those. The prices of all the mats were ugly high. I think I left at midnight with 47,000. It was about 10,000 to make each item. So 25,000 or so for 5 quests. In 20 more lvls I could do one.

The trunks that contained the materials for the completion of the above craft quests have to stay in your bag for months while you get the money to finish them. These should be allowed in the bank. I had to drop all but one for bag space. Oh and any of the items you make for the quest have to stay in your bag also.

Only 10 items allowed to be auctioned was so disappointing.

Not enough off the road places to buy potions and bandages. So planning ahead before you leave town became important.

It would be good if the NPC's had more to say then “You need my help” over and over. You bring them what they asked for and they say “You need help” Seems they should know they gave you a quest and be expecting your return. But thats a nit pick.

I have not played PWI in 3 years but from what I remember the prices are the same in Tera. Why would this be? Its a monthly pay game so why the high prices on all the goods? Is this a play free came in Korea and Japan maybe?
