anyone else that's played a cash shop game knows exactly what i'm thinking right now. We are all paying a flat subscription fee, a pretty hefty investment of 60$+ to even play the game and now we are being denied the ability to unlock or earn content through our in game play but only by our wallets? How far can a wallet stretch or should it be expected to stretch?
They need to make money - i get it. If people want to fund the game by electing to pay large sums of irl cash rather than earn the prem items through in-game combat and actions that is their prerogative. But that doesn't mean those items should only be able to be purchased with IRL cash.
First of all this is not a rage thread - i haven't even capped yet i only have 2 lev 45's - but don't you think that the prem. content should also be unlockable via in-game achievements or currency?
it starts with cosmetic type premiums... what if they start selling prem. enchantment stones like every single other game. Don't underestimate the power and addiction that is caused by a clever enchantment system. For many people that becomes a gambling-esque addiction or obsession in and of itself.
I really hope that en masse preserves the balance and integrity of the game by being 'careful' what content they make available via irl cash... don't let this turn into fiesta or a gpotato game :D
