The big problem here is no-one wants to be a lancer, but everyone wants to [filtered] about them and tell them how to play the game.

If you want a lancer, roll one.

Maybe EME should make lancers more desirable to play, rather than just desirable to be a meat shield.

But till they do that, the Lancer has every right, having put in the time and effort you are unwilling to put in, to kick people or quit a group.

the only way this will be fixed is if zerk/warriors / slayers get more tanking abilities ie taunts & effective blocks so that every party doesnt have to wait on a lancer. end of story

Zerk/Slayers will not get tanking abilities, they are not meant to be tanks.

Warriors are getting more tanking ability in next major patch.

The problem with them is even with their tanking abilities, they are the only 5 star difficulty class. Lancers are easy mode tanks, warriors need a brain.

Sadly, I attempted to parody his phrasing, but the post was apparently in violation of the forum rules (I guess for religious comments). The same is for this reply and your post. Likely, someone reported it for offense (to which I really shouldn't have to apologize, in the spirit of Kinnison and Carlin).

My guild members and I have cleared every dungeon normal mode without a lancer and with item level 135 :)

We never tried Hard Modes with that set up since we have another set up... We just wanted the best jobs at 60 for BG's....

Moral of the story you can kill each and every normal mode with only 135 ilvl and no lancer or warrior.

Oh btw everyone here should be using -cooldown potions.... You don't need health potions or crit scrolls -cooldown potions = wins

According to http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/general-discussion/topics/Tera-Statistics , actually, 15% of the population rolls a lancer, 2nd most in the game.

Regardless, it's not us telling lancers how to play the game. It's them telling us how to play it. They're the ones saying "You shouldn't be in a dungeon if you're an archer", not us.
