I enjoyed leveling in Tera, I honestly did. I enjoyed doing dungeons and BAMs with friends... the first 100+ times... I enjoyed the look and feel of the game, but after 2 months playing, one 60 character with a bunch of +9 [filtered] and several 30+'s that I never finished, I am ready to throw in the towel.
Between the atrocious crystal market, the retarded-ly un-fun and grindy crafting system, the *uncountable* number of bugs and broken [filtered], the terribad community and overall game balance, and the highly limited endgame activities, I can't find a reason to keep playing.
I started playing with 5 friends, there is now only myself and one other person playing and it looks like he will be quitting soon as well. The server I'm on has only gone down in population so if I want someone to do low level bams I get to wait and watch the tumbleweeds blow by for at least an hour or so usually before I have enough of a group, so there's not much point in leveling alts...
I've heard it all on here before, you leveled too fast! It takes time to fix bugs! That's all BS because the game has been out for a lot longer in Korea than it has here so they really have no excuse to have this number of issues considering the game isn't even new amymore. Even if that weren't the case its still an awful argument to begin with, you shouldn't release a product and charge for it if it isn't done, and this game doesn't even feel *close* to done. -I feel like I'm paying for a beta, and that's not a good feeling to have.
None of this is even taking into account the utter silence and uncaring attitude EME has given its players this entire time. There are some friendly people in player support, (friendly but also ignorant, I talked to one in the first week of playing who couldn't even tell me where T13 drops come from) but I don't feel like the Dev's themselves give 2 sh*ts about what happens to us or the game, all this is just a way to make money for them. They haven't addressed a single one of our concerns since release, the very few exceptions being ToT and Nexus (and a few drop tables) the first of which is yet another boring grind that should have been in at the release to begin with, the second being a boring afk lagfest.
Knoxxer did that joke of an interview where he said a lot of nothing, (we're working on it, we're working on it, we're working on it, Ad infinitum) they haven't addressed anything at all, they haven't addressed even game breaking bugs and issues, *zero* communication with the community except to close threads and warn people about the rules. I was also more or less told to f*ck off when I came to them about their $12 price reduction within the first 30 days of release. Several of my friends went through the whole thing with their billing fiasco as well, I myself lost about 4 days of subscription time, and my billing cycle is screwed. I really have 0 respect for them at this point in time.
Additonally, I've already had to discourage several other friends from buying the game due to these afforementioned issues, and I will continue to do so until they make some kind of significant change (read, fix) to the game. So now they are losing money thanks to the poor service in my case.
inb4 don't let door hit your [filtered] on way out, nothing of value was lost, entitled etc
I payed for the game on my own steam, and I now I have buyer's remorse because the product was not up-to-snuff, so don't give me that entitlement bullsh*t. I also realize I'm not the first person to point this stuff out, and I won't be the last, I just want to make yet another voice heard for EME so that they can't pretend they don't know why their ship is sinking. And to warn the few out there who may have some sense to read the signs.
TL:DR- Can someone explain to me why despite the crap community, crap devs, crap game balance, incomplete game, and crap end game there's any reason not to let my sub run out at the end of this month? Are any of you out there who have reached endgame honestly still enjoying themselves?
