I don't think Chat suspensions are enough I think out of game suspensions should be given out. Start with a chat suspension and move to a 1 day game suspension, 3 day, 1 week, then perma. If the threat of losing their account is real people will tart behaving a tad better.

Also I'm ignoring like no tomorrow, I hate ignoring people, but this game it's a must it seems which is sad, I'm sure these people aren't bad people they just seem to have lost control of themselves because there are no real consequences.
Be as it may, the game is not about one person's sensibilities.

If enough people reported someone, I am sure he will be banned.

You might be horrified to learn that block list has a 40 people (or was it 50) people cap. It is not by account... so if a person has 8 alts, you might have to waste 8 precious block slots on one idiot.

Seriously En Masse, I like this game very much but the amount of Pervs in this game is very uncomforting. Now I leave chat tabs, and ignore people to try to avoid this, hell I even report people like no tomorrow. But really can you please start doing something about these people start cracking down on them when people report them just something, it's kind of ridiculous.

The game is beautiful, and the combat is a lot of fun. But seriously if you guys don't start cracking down on the pervs that make this game almost unplayable, then I'm gone I'm sure many others have left for this reason as well.


'perversion" is EXTREMELY subjective. stop being subjective. come back with some FACTS. then we shall talk. til then. GTFO.


If you don't know what I'm speaking about you clearly keep you chats turned off, that or you're trolling just to be a troll. I don't need to get into detail, and the facts are all around you just read area, and LFG for a while.

That is horrible, perhaps what I should be doing is asking EME to uncap the ignore list. O.O; because I'm at 35 people.

That is the ESRB description of an M rating. The exact Tera rating says Blood, Suggestive Themes, Violence.

So far as I have read, there is nothing in Tera that says people cannot talk about the sexual nature of the game. I have seen GMs pop in and stop offensive chat, but I think it has to be reported for the most part before they do.

There is a block feature in the game for a reason. If you don't use it then that is your own damn fault. I use it quite often when I don't want to see spam and then I unblock people after.

Bottom line is...No one is sitting you down "A Clockwork Orange" style and forcing you to read the chat.

Perhaps learn to read more than just the title before you reply, all I'm saying.

The internet is a nasty place, i think we all know this. As it has been pointed out this area is subjective and why you cant do to much about it.

My cable provider has 100 channels, some that offend me, others that I have no problem with. I just don't turn on the channels and or programs that offend me.

This game has chat channels....... Personally i moved LFG into the trade tab, and only turn it on when i want to.

I think a lot of what is said global on the LFG is done for shock value and attention is all.

The lack of a global area chat has caused everyone to use the only one given to them, LFG.

Bargin/Trade is also Global. It also doesn't have the 1 minute timer.

Those who spam LFG is because they want an audience. No one monitors trade, so they don't spam there even though it is global and also no delay.

People actually use LFG (some anyways) for party formation so they spam the channel with people.

I never "whinged" I made valid complaints, and I'm making a very valid one here. Nice to see some people have to hide behind different screen names to insult people.
