I just joined the Tera-preview event tonight and I got 1 question about the character creation in Tera.
Is there anoptions that you can use to modify character's body shape like the height and leg thickness? Is there no such options only in cbt/obt or there wont be any at all even after launch?

There are countless videos on YouTube of character creation that have been accessible for maybe a year. Go look at those.

to answer your question, there are no body sliders or adjustments.

There used to be a great thread in the old forums that was posted as an idea for body customization. The idea was something akin to AoC's if I remember right. The forum support for body sliders/customization was very very strong and it was bumped all the time. I wish I could remember the person who originally posted it. Anyway, as of now, just like Aliabobalia said, there are no sliders. Many of us hope there will be. - But only if they do not create unfair advantages in pvp.

Yea as long as there isn't any advantage or disadvantage in them, I would love to see that added. I always thought that Baraka and Amani should be much bigger relative to the other races and environment. That was the first thing I noticed when I logged in, that amani was smaller then I thought :P

Personally I don't mind there being no body options in character creation. While yes everyone wants their characters to be there's and there's alone, this system does make things a lot easier for development I'd assume and with dyes, and accessories people won't look the same down the road anyway. Frankly I don't wanna see stuff like back in Aion, the horror oh the horror!

There`s no point in adding any body sliders.
The existing customization system is perfect in terms of visual beauty of characters and game engine optimization. Everyone`s happy to see 60-80 fps with crowds of pre-defined characters on screen, but nobody wants to have fps drops due to silly body shapes/sizes of players. Sorry, but Aion was a great example of how ugly characters may look like if players are allowed to change body shapes. And the more calculations of those shapes your processor and videocard have to make, the less fps you will see in an MMO. Body change is not worth it.

I would never say body customization is an impossibility for TERA. I would say that it is improbability for the near future - certainly before/during launch.

That's fine with me. Seeing tall, lanky Elins and short, skinny Baraka-people running around would distract me too much anyway.
