This forum lol, I meant to say are any beta characters going to be transferred to LIVE? So that means if I want to start playing my character that will never be deleted, when is the earliest I can start making him?

Open Beta is in April. I'd preorder now, but I ~may~ be a tad biased. =}

Open Beta characters WILL be wiped. Closed Beta characters will also be wiped to those who don't pre-order Tera, this information was on their launcher actually. It clearly states, that the characters Pre-order accounts in the Closed Beta, will not be wiped, unless it is needed to make changes. All other characters that are not on "Pre-Ordered" accounts will be wiped.
Open Beta Is NOT the "Head Start". This is simply the phase where everyone who signed up for Tera's Beta, will be accepted into the Beta, and afterwards, they will be wiped. Right after the Open Beta, there will be a Head Start for players who pre-ordered Tera, which will then not be deleted. There is also an early "Username Reservation", for pre-orders as well.
Hope this clears up some of the confusion everyone seems to be having with Open Beta, and the Head Start.

Mind posting a source for that? Because that is not what I have heard or seen at all, in regards to these 2 points:
EME has repeatedly said that they do NOT plan on wiping Open Beta. I have not seen any update to retract that. They are wiping at the end of Closed Beta, but not Open Beta.
Also, while people keep perpetuating this, I have yet to see EME actually state that all non-preorders will have their characters wiped between Closed Beta sessions.
If you have sources, I'd love to be updated so I can also provide the correct information to others.
