For crying out loud, the biggest failure in MMO history has graphics that blow TERA's anime stile out of the water. FFXIV's graphics and music in comparison, are about 100 levels above what TERA can ever do. Looking at FFXIV leather armor you can see where it was stitches, the thread it was stitched with and the needle hole's. The metal armor you can seen how it was put together, and shaped and molded. All of TERA armor looks like it was put together with spit, gum and magic dust.

I disagree that Vindictus is worthy of any praise, as I hated their combat system, but to each their own. I don't understand the "There can be only one" mentality here though with Vindictus. They are both action combat games. One is an MMORPG (TERA) and the other is basically a co-op lobby. No reason a person can't like both. I just prefer the type of game that TERA is, and I like it's combat.


I was comparing combat system, if you read my post carefully i did say before i get flamed i acknowledged that vindictus is not your typical MMO and probably a not good comparison. If you are looking for an argument you've come to the wrong place.

Vindicuts has a very unique combat which is not based on 1buttton skill and very fast paste and you are correct its not for everyone that is use to the one button skill.


I wasn't looking to argue at all, please don't misunderstand. I also wasn't flaming you; I just don't agree with you about Vindictus, that's all. I acknowledge that you said it wasn't really like an MMO. I was more disagreeing with the idea that it's the only true action worthy of praise, as I believe TERA is worthy of true action combat praise.

The community believe it or not, is actually better than most MMO's, kinda sad actually....

As for as the gameplay it's light years ahead of it's competition on every front possible, healing, tanking, dps, pvp, ect.

It has as many features as WoW and other popular mmo's, and has a huge amount of content.

The only thing is is lacking at the moment is a PVP system. TERA will only release with world pvp but they plan on implementing battlegrounds in the summer.

1) The gameplay has been used before, its just been reworked and presented again
2) WoW has more content than Tera... WoW's been out longer and tera is working into its 2nd year.
3)the PvP system is not going to be fully implemented until the summer, I hope with BG's they also release SvS as well.

The only thing Tera has is 5man instances, even with the new K-tera patch. The only "New" thing they added was the riftsNexus'

There is no auto attack in this game, you have to click and dodge enemies. I think people who play MMOs like WOW or Aion will find this difficult for them. Like I hear people say Tera healers don't play like WOW healers, so to me I think this will let some people, who just like to chill in the back and click buttons. Tera will be too had for them, this game is based on skills of your fingers and mind, instead of the who I should hit and jump around like they wont hit me if I do that, or all I do is sit there and know what to press. It's a easy to learn dumbed down so that tards can play game, but hard to master combat in PVP and BOM battles in end game.

Noted. In lue of constructive debate as you said everyone has their own preference, I find the lack of 1 button skill combat a little more challenging with the added constant stamina drain. I like TERA combat as well its different from what I am use to, I just think Vindictus is more challenging because you have many factors against you. Besides being able to pick up objects and being able to grab mobs and bash their face is is just fun :)

I am checking out Tera for the first time, I was hoping for some feedback from the community before I start.

How do you compare Tera with the other games out there like SWTOR, or RIFT, or WARCRAFT?

I hope to hear what make this game stand above these games or any others out there.


The title is planned very well. Targeting is unique and is based upon collision. Easy to level. Crafting needs an awful amount of work. There is so much new content coming that I really can’t give a full review. But I think I will enjoy the title as long as possible. But i can say this i have been looking forward to this game for quite awhile.

You can now play all aspects of Tera without wasting time due to the LFP functions. I have played many, many, many titles and it always came down to what players were exploiting (BOTS), scammers, gold sellers and the feeling that I got something done. The Quest line is like most new games. Graphics are awesome if you have good computer.
