Cool-down timers/item usage and when they're tripped.

Current situations:

You use a resurrection scroll and get interrupted for any reason during the cast time: A scroll is used up and the 20 minute timer is activated.

You use a Safe Haven scroll, click "Yes, I want to go to *place*" and the casting gets interrupted: A scroll is used up and the 5 min timer is activated.

You use any spell/ability with a casting time and get interrupted during the cast: Spell does not go off and cool-down timer is activated.

***

It is my opinion that the server check that triggers the cool-down timers and item usage need to be modified to only activate if the action is successfully used. It is frustrating to have the loss of an ability usage and possibly an item for no reason other than a poorly-placed usage check.

This needs to be addressed, imo.

Suggested numerous times already.

Current solution: deal with it.

Suggested again then i guess, why be a prick about it? Not everyone has time to look through 1000's of old posts to make sure what concerns them has not already been discussed. And that "solution" is not a solution.

I agree it can be annoying.

However, at least in regards to the resurrection scroll - I think the fact that it gets 'used' increases the importance of thinking about exactly when to use it. Have another party member or two try to pull the mob away long enough for another to use the scroll.

I could care less about the scrolls honestly, but i think the skills need to not burn up because i decided i didnt want to use it as soon as i que'd it up. IE my priest DoT, i que it and wait till im ready to cast it. If i decide i just want cancel it i can que another spell, and drop the cursor for target. If im trying to time it tho, maybe im waiting on someone else's skill or whatever the case is, and i wait to long it acts like it casted it anyway and i have to wait the 60 seconds or whatever to use it again, even tho i didnt use it the first time.

I'm not being a prick, I'm telling you the current situation. This has been suggested to be changed by many players since closed beta (I even made the suggestion once myself) but EME doesn't seem to think it is a problem, and it's not likely to change.

Sorry, and i gotcha now.

Unfortunately, all the under addressed problems that are pointed out over and over are going to leave a real bitter taste in peoples mouths. I hope these BG's are worth the wait, and if they delay them much longer or if they are a flop, gunna have a massive decrease in subs shortly. They have already lost so many, and have so many issues that need to be looked into, its going to be a big disappointment for so many that have put alot of time into this game for it just to sink into the gated MMO community in the sky.

Beginning a skill should be a risk. If you choose to use it at the wrong time, you lose out. That's fine.
