Crafting 250+

I dont know how high up it works...but I was using the dungeons to farm leather and runes. A single SB run would net at least 10-15 of the 50 needed for leathercrafting level 50.

Presumably the same could be done for the runes at the 40s dungeon?

Correct, but this gets you to 250, 50 levels for each tier of crafting mats.

Right...which is where, I'm told, the crafting quests were supposed to come in before they were removed.

I've started leveling past 250 by making items one at a time...but damn is that tedious as hell and I'm simply lucky that my other guildies don't need or want their crafting skills to go up so I get their runes.

They never said they were removing them, they just disappeared. They said they 'moved' their location from the billboard, but seemingly accidentally erased them entirely.

Moved into the recycling bin would be more accurate..

this is the one MMO that has crafted weapons/armor that are worse then items that drop at the same level. Any other MMO Crafting is rewarded by being able to craft large quantities of weapons/armor and sell them to pay for other materials you need to craft better items, and it continues in that cycle. THIS GAME does not have any of the,.... sad

No chance that EME could actually respond and either confirm that their gone(and why) or tell us where they are? I sure would like to be able to use Armorsmithing for templates. :[

Drop rate on archrunes is stupidly low at lvl60. 'Use the broker' Doesn't fly, there are only 10 for sell on my server. Gonna need way more than 10.

Whats the best way for safe sex? Abstinence! An attitude like that is just avoiding the issue, not solving the problem.

I just prefer to use rubber bands and duct tape. Whatever floats your boat though.

I apologize is this has been brought up before. I checked the first coule pages and could not find anything on the matter.

How are higher level players supposed to craft after 250? The mats the requires are from lvl 40 mobs. Trying to go back and farm runes from lvl 40 mobs as a 60 character is unrealistic with decrease drop chances. I was killing lvl 48-49 mobs and aquired a total of approximately 2 archrunes over 30 mobs. Needing a total of 70 to make one piece of gear, grinding this way becomes impracticle.

I understand there is an AH, but being forced to have to buy will have a major negative impact on the market. There will be a limited number of runes available. The alternative is leveling an alt to farm but am I really forced to do so?

Please, if I am missing something let me know.

Crafting is not for everyone. It is not meant that everyone can just farm simple materials and make anything they wish that they have the skill for. They have to acquire the gold to buy the extra parts, and they have to acquire or purchase the runes for gear. This is done to merely level up! But the endgame effectiveness is FAR from worthless.

Crafted armor, foci and weapons are the BEST gear in the game, with the additional costs associated with having to masterwork them products. Moreover, crafting the item itself can create an already-masterworked item, on top of which it can produce duplicates as a bonus.

So ... in the end, you will be happy some groups or guilds pooled their resources and got some crafters up to max, so that those players could then become the Masterworkers at the end game period.

Is this hard? YES.

Is it worth it? YES.

Sorry, you dont win the thread. This is about drop rates on runes needed to get past 250 crafting, not the overall 'difficulty' of crafting. If youre guild is all lvl 60, guess what - Your entire guild's drop rates on the runes will be [filtered]. So even if you did resort to crafter feeding, it wouldn't work nearly as well as you think. How many people do you really think play an MMO and DONT craft? I can guess that damn near every main char in an MMO has had one or more crafts leveled on it, and eventually maxed it. There are these things called achievements a lot of people like to get as well. Crafting has achievements for it.

Once they fix the crafting quests, this will all go away anyways. They better fix them >.>
