If the merit of crafted items as best items in game remains true, crafting should be difficult. In this case, grindacious. I hope they don't change it.

Don't use crafting if you don't see any benefit from it. If no one uses crafting, they might eventually know something's wrong with it.

Crafting is a horrable joke in this game. Just ignore it untill changes are made. Cost > Demand for such items is waaaaaaaay out of whack. You can get a blue item from the broker that droped for someone for 1gold. Same level item crafted will cost you a good 20 gold. Using level 20/30 items as an example, but its the same later levels, just bigger amounts of gold. Cannot farm runes for lower level items, drop rare goes to hell. Buying them off other people isn't cost effective. The items you make aren't really better then droped junk. Add to that the cost to level the craft, vendor materials, and recipies....

Crafting is just a money sink with no turn around what so ever. If they removed it all minus Alchemy, no one would even care / notice.

It's sad and it's a simple fix too... don't include Runes in the 'too high level so drop rate is dead' function ... and/or (preferably and...) give us back the crafting quests >:(

Unnecessary.

You can get almost ALL drops you would at normal level by going back into an instance 10-40 levels above it. So far, I'm running lower-level dungeons at 50 and still getting blues from Bastion, and golds from Manor, and at the same time runes are dropping with such frequency as to be no difficulty farming. Run in with almost nothing in my inventory, and just keep repeating until you can fit no more, go back to town and vendor/broker/sell, then run back. Do this to each tier of item you need runs from. In two Bastion runs at 50, I got something like 15 of each run type, and tons of blues, several of them duplicates. The only thing you lose out on is actual gold dropping: you only get copper, with maybe a little silver. Total for the run is less than 50 silver. Nonetheless, I made several gold off the run, wasn't bored, and stocked up on lower-tier runes (which get sold once you skill your crafting up or unless you want to make each crafting item for the models as templates).

You are supposed to level your crafting skills past 250 using the crafting quests take a look here for example http://www.teratome.com/recipes/catg/5/sort/-reqskill,name/page/1. So we have to wait until they add the quests back.

It still does. 'Elite' Monsters have higher drop rates than field monsters, but their rates are still shot down by being a much higher level. And there is still the 'Archrune of Titans' which will not drop in any of the lvl40's instances you have to worry about.

Ran Necromancers Crypt. Got 3 Normal Archrunes, some green runes I'm not worried about, 2 blues and 2 golds. It's not that great.

No problem, so I will say this again for the 5601718016573647246 time on these forums a long with the 56897167584157 people that have said it, you ready?

Crafting in this game is worthless! A post on here yesterday some guy figured out to craft a level 45 weapon would cost him 1,000 gold when he could have bought one with better stats for 40 gold. Get the picture?

I mean, they even removed the crafting section of these forums.

The best end game gear is crafted so no it's not worthless.

I believe this is part of the oversight of "westernization".

They improved drop rate of dungeon, but did not improve drop rate of crafting materials. There is only one outcome, that is what we have here.
