I will be the first to say I am a "Serious" "Hardcore" "Elitist" player. I enjoy a challenge, I love grinding, and I want to earn what I work for, not handed to me like candy.

I know I am not the only one around who feels the current set-up is profoundly unsatisfactory. One example, we had someone hit 32 within 8 to 10 hours in Valley of Titans. More followed suit after that. Another example is that people are obtaining +6 enchants like you wait for your cup of coffee to brew in the morning. And the "HOORAY! THIS DUDE GOT +6" Server message is getting spammed quite often. Its pathetic.

Here is a list of things I feel are completely too easy in the game:
(But its not limited to the items)

  • Enchanting
  • Leveling
  • Loot Drops
  • Dungeon bosses
  • Bams
  • Bring back mischief boxes


If you want proof EME, Pull up your metrics. How fast, and how many people, got to 32 within the first day of Open Beta? How many players are enchanted to +6? I know people [filtered], complain, cry, and moan when something isn't handed to them. But holy [filtered] tone town the easy peasy street. Its pretty pathetic how the current player base wants things to be easy. When the more serious players are shouting No just as back. And you ignore the logical sense when you change one simple mechanic in the game.

Take for example the Enchanting. You removed the chance to down level upon a fail, and you increased the chance to fail. But even then look at how many people obtained +6 enchanting in 2 days. What is also feeding this, believe it or not, is the fact that loot drop rates were also increased. So not only are you handing out blue gear form SB like crack, you are also feeding people items to enchant with, which makes it overall easier to obtain a higher enchant bonus. I am not saying you should put the downgrade chance back in, I understand how pissed people can get when they loose a level. Back in K-tera I had a +9 weapon, and in a heartbeat I went to +2. That hurt my soul.

But for the love of the federation, please change the loot drops to how it was in closed beta. Where you had to run nearly 25 to 30 times just to get the Gold gear you needed, Then you had to either grind more, or spend some cash to get items to enchant with. You are making it too easy and it makes me want to eat a fetus, vomit it up, and eat it again!

Pleas EME, consider how "easy" You are making this game. I know there are people who want some things toned down for it "being too hard" but look at your metrics, you have made it too easy. The Carebears are not coming out to say "Oh man it isn't easy enough" Now you are going to get people like me, and say "Yo dawgs, this [filtered] is too easy!"

Hell, I'll [filtered] volunteer my time just to fly to your office, pop open Unreal 3, Fix majority of your map bugs, and fix your damn Unreal script. I Don't even think you play this game, you just listen to what people want. Herp Derp around trying to find whatever it is we're talking about, and then recompile and all it a day.

Prove me wrong Knoxxer, Look at your metrics and tell me this isn't ridiculously Easy.

L32... after how many hours?
Was roughly 24 straight hours while casually grinding it, even longer for somebody who's actually reading and exploring the first time through, probably almost double that.

Enchanting system gladly ate all the money and items I could toss at my 27gold weapon and chest piece, and only gave me back +4s for all the effort before I decided it wasn't worth breaking my wallet over. The people getting +6 are burning their cash for certain or getting very lucky with their rolls.

Bams are using plenty of attacks that they did not use in CBT, and are hitting quite strongly most of the time while fighting even level monsters. Been fighting plenty of world bosses while geared in blue/gold as I leveled up, and when fighting stuff my level, it definitely kept my berserker buddy and I (mystic) on our toes.

Maybe if you're 5-manning everything, it's all easy... but that kind of amounts to a big `duh`.

Also, latency not being 200+ to korea tends to help make the content more easily taken care of.

No We got a post on the VoT forums with our first 32. Granted 8 hours may be a stretch but its still way to quick to get over half of the levels in nearly a day.

The enchanting system will ALWAYS eat your money, even in Ktera it was a money sink or a grind/time sink. That's part of the process. But the people getting +6 is way too much. I can only imagine how easy it is to get to +12. Im sorry you wanna cry about your money being wasted, but what else are you going to spend it on? Seriously.

Bam are easy, They die a lot faster than they did in the CB's. I told you I'm a more hardcore player, if you are having issues with bams, you need to learn the tells more. You have a lot of people soloing bams and world bosses like its nothing. But they are doing it on the korean version, which is much more punishing if you get hit.

Latency being nelow 200+ only allows me to react when I need to rather than compensating. Sure it sounds like a cakewalk, but it just lets me react faster, not preform better.

I agree with the OP, game is way to easy and everything comes without much effort, however insulting the devs to try and make your points is not going to get you taken seriously imo.

Think of it this way.

First of all, this is only level 32... things are going to be easy in terms of leveling... yes I agree 8 hours is stupid... but I stayed up all night getting to 32 and I got there in about 18 hours.... I guarantee you not everyone got there in 8-12 hours. Even then yes, I think it should be a little bit slower, but I'm going to assume 32-60 will be a bit longer.


As for enchanting..... were stuck at 32, what else are we going to be doing? Of course were going to spam run SM over and over, thats what my guild is doing right now. At 60 its a whole different playing field, people will be running dungeons yes, but they will probably not succeed as much (At least for the first few weeks)...

The higher the level, the more money/time/effort it takes to get what you are seeing on the servers right now.

this, the amount of absolute garbage crystals that noone can do anything with, that either get NPC'd for next to no gold, or put on AH to rot/fill up the crystal list menu is retarded, why the hell would you completely remove them when they were something that was OPTIONAL, noone was forced to use these, you could have removed them from the mobs dropping, but why the hell would you remove them all together from NPCs, again... THEY WERE OPTIONAL, who cares if people had bad luck with them, they weren't required for people to buy so how can you justify it by saying "people might get frustrated with these so we removed them"

give us options instead of spoon feeding every idiot that doesn't know what to do

I never insulted the devs, I mealy challenged them to prove me wrong when I state that things are way to easy. The proof is in their metrics/statistics.

The reason everything got dumbed down is because the carebears came out in force and QQed about stupid [filtered] they do not understand.

Now, us more serious players nee to come out in force and tell the devs they made everything a cakewalk, and provide no challenge.

First of all, I've gone to 58 in Ktera before the Queen of Argon patch. 32 Was not that easily obtained, it took me at least 4 days on 2 separate toons to get to 32. I assume 32-60 will be longer, but it wont be as hard of a journey as it would have been in CBT. I was content, now im pissed.

As for enchanting, I got my weapon and armor to +6 by grinding SB from 22-25, It isn't even the fact that I grinded. The gear drops like candy to where I had an excess that allowed me to speed through the enchants. At 60, with this rate, It will most likely be worse, because all you CAN do is grind hardmode dungeons until the next content patch bringing 10 and 20 man raids.

It's been posted many times that XP scales with levels.

I read the quests, enjoy the cutscenes and after four hours of playing I barely hit level 12. If you don't enjoy the level of difficulty of the game maybe you should play another one, or at least wait until you play the -full- game, and see how your leveling is at higher levels before coming on here with your complaints.
