Current exp gain could use a nerf.

I propose an easier change.

Something that requires 0 programming

0 time to develop from EME

and already makes use of the current in game system.

I call it.

Taking your time.

Regardless of how much time you spend loitering around, many players are still going to run into the problem of out-leveling the content. In fact, the advice you're offering is more likely to already be practiced by players who are looking to absorb all of the available content. It is the fact that all that content rewards the player with such a large amount of XP (compared to the amount needed to advance in level) that is causing the problem. And that DOES require the developers intervention to correct.

I sort of agree, BUT I plan on having about 3 characters, so that will keep me busy for at least 6 months or so since I tend to play at a snails pace. Hopefully they change things up and make the leveling curve more appealing; getting to level 1-20 can be easy, 21-40, can feel like a big of a grind, but not too bad. 41-60 can take a while. This is a good strategy since most MMO games (Tera included) tend to have more content for higher level players. More content = feels less repetitive when you grind.

Why Why Why Why Whyyyyyy do people like grinding so much?! Why would you want to spend longer grinding to get to the fun part? This will never make sense to me.. Please explain to me the appeal of questing and killing monsters to be able to enjoy the best part of the game...

leveling fast is a good thing =[

*Hands kDeviL a 'Max Level Now!' button. I know. All that leveling crap just can't get over fast enough, eh?

Unless you choose to just go out and kill the same mob over and over, there is no grind in this game. There is easily 60% more questing available than you need to do to level.

really?!?!?

i feel that the grind right now is already a little too much. yes it's quest grind but its 2012 questing = grinding in disguise.

If you really want to grind you can just get kill mobs w/o taking any quests.

making ppl take longer to reach max lvl doesn't keep them playing the game longer, in fact i'm more likely to stop playing if one character took me more than 1 month to lvl.

Please? =[ I wish all games had that =P

Grinding = Doing the same thing over and over and over and over again to eventually reach a goal, Questing is no different... It beats just smacking monsters all day but it's still grinding, still repetitive, still boring and still sucks. Personally i want as many breaks for pve crap as absolutely possible. Why do I feel like I'm the only one in the world that feels this way? =[

By that argument, isn't your endgame just grinding also then? Doing the same dungeon over and over and over again to get that drop you want? BGs? Enchanting? All grinding. Leave now, save yourself the trouble of playing for 2 weeks.

No, it doesn't need a nerf. Using only a tiny portion of the game as basis for discussion is pretty stupid.

The leveling becomes painfully slow at 45+, your complaints about the game being "too easy" end there.

Yep it sure is, However at that point at least you're at the level cap and you have options of what you want to do and how you want to grind. It still really sucks, and has plagued this genre for far too long, but it's not as bad as leveling. Thank god theres a game coming soon (will not be mentioned) that does away with all that grinding bs completely. But untill then Tera is the best looking MMO right now so I'll deal with it, and probably enjoy it alot as a filler.. My point was that i can't understand why people enjoy the grind.. and want more of it o.O

If it's all a grind to you, and it all sucks, WHY DO YOU EVEN PLAY!? Done with your trolling.
