ERRGG! i want to play Tera. But all my friends are all going to play freaking Diablo 3 when it comes out. I was seriously disappointed when i saw the gameplay video of D3 on youtube. What do i have to do to convince my friends to ditch D3 for Tera?

Play TERA and invite him over. When he sees you actively dodging/blocking he will be like "Oh man let me try that"

I tried out D3 and lets just say the UI is horrid, and the gameplay ( like d1 and 2 ) was decent not much pvp. And the click to move in all of them !!! my poor fingerss

Odd people are constantly comparing D3 and *insert MMO* these days. They're the same in that they're both video games. They're the same in that they're both RPGs (albeit of varying sorts). That's about it. Play both they're not related enough that they should be "competing" for time in the same bracket. That's like having a hard time deciding between watching WNBA games and NHL games.

You may not like D3's style personally, but it's a blizz game after all and it's been through years of polishing. The game evolved so much during beta, from UI to fundamental game mechanics, and you can really tell that they're trying hard to make the game as good as it can be. Compared to this, how has tera changed since CB1? They tweaked trivial things such as adding more Vekas but left what mattered untouched. The betas are a joke - they're merely a stability test at most.

D3 just CAN'T be bad... Even if you somehow really dislike D3, you still have to appreciate the amount of work and affort blizz put into and its attitude towards gaming. Honestly, not many companies care about the quality of their product anymore these days.

Diablo 3 sells more than we've ever seen, that kind of game is just fresh breath of air for game industry and it comes from Blizzard. I really think its going to be absolutely crazy. Lets just throw 15 mill unit sold first month.

Whats so fresh about it? Its not even an mmo and its basically more polished up version of D2 which is a more polished up version of D1. I mean it will be good for what it is but i don't see anything fresh about it.

First of all, you are CLEARLY on the PVE server. EME has done a ton of changes regarding the PVP system, and what exactly do you expect them to get done over the course of a week?

Secondly, I think people are being too hard on diablo 3. I mean honsetly, everyones like oh my god diablo II was way harder and it was a way better game back then. Key phrase back then.. when you were like freaking TWELVE and you have been playing games EVER SINCE you think you might possibly have gotten better at them in that time frame? Maybe seen more game mechanics added since then?? Like for real guys its a freakin sequal not a completely new genre.

And don't even label me as some sort of d3 fanboi, I haven't gotten the game yet frankly because that $60 price tag is steep as [filtered] I'm still not sure if I'm going to get it.

I'm all for PVP, but even the PVP change is subtle. Call me a noob, but I didn't notice a damn difference between CB2 and CB3 and I was level capped and played a ton in both betas. I'm not complaining in anyway though. All I'm saying is people should appreciate D3 regardless whether they like it or not.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Joking aside, personally I really don't want them to reinvent Diablo just for the sake of innovating. Instead, they've basically gone through Diablo 2, figured out what was great about it (fast-paced gaming, ability to do everything solo or in groups, item hunting, being awesome while slaughtering demons), figured out what was bad (the economy, lack of viable builds, stat/attribute system too easy to "math out", boss runs just doing the same few levels over and over), and fixed the bad while keeping the good. Now, some might debate what was "good" or "bad" about Diablo 2, but I just don't understand why people are saying "it's too much like Diablo 2" as if they expected something completely different.

Play what you want, because when they get bored of D3 in a week, they'll come join you.
