since i have been playng my lancer and doing dungeons(level 28) i have been getting alot of groups where the dps continously attack before me or have threatening crystals(mostly wars and sorcs). are the dps trying to have a aggro fight with me to show that they can tank this stuff too?or is that they don't know that attack first and using your most threat drawing moves first takes aggro?

Welcome to a game where "I have aggro, I must be doing the most damage, look at my epeen"

A damage meter would fix this, but the community is convinced it would ruin the atmosphere of the game... but I am still failing to see how idiot dps stacking threat crystals is any better.

Most of the morons will clear out because they realize they actually have to attempt to do well in order to get loot while complaining that the game is full of elitists.

hahahah it remember me when we run NT, i make the group and before entering our sorc have like 4 treatening crystals.

i ask him to get them off. he insult me saying i haven't nothing to say to him.... i explain him that he should NOT get aggro... and he insult me back. ....


i kick him our of the party, turn red and show him what is to have Treatening crystals on a PvP... !!!!

Be courteous and explain it to them.

No [sane] person wants to do a bad job; most people don't wake up in the morning and say, "I want to make a tank's life miserable today."

Assume positive intent, explain some mechanics, give them the resources to better themselves. I've had a lot of groups that didn't understand DPSing behind a mob or what a threatening crystal did, or didn't even realize they were using that crystal, because it was a mistake.

If that doesn't work, tell them you'll kick them if they don't adjust. Give them a couple pulls to fix it and if they don't, boot them.

In a community based game, we only have to be polite to the point of explaining to people what they're doing wrong and what the consequences of doing it are.

It's probably the bonus on weapons that say "+% damage to monster with highest aggro to you"

"No! I must has the aggros" the DPS with threat crystals shouted

The Lancer said "No, DPS. You are the aggros"

And then the DPS was a partykick.

I tank as both a lancer and a warrior and while I have had issues with DPS getting over eager I've never seen one using a +threat crystal. Whoever was doing that was just being a [filtered].

If DPS attacks first, say something about it. If they do it again, kick them or just leave. Tank has one and only one job, just like the healer. When I play healer it pisses me off when a DPS pops a rez scroll on another DPS. Save your cooldown for if I die please.
When you play lancer you're allowed to be pissed off by DPSs pulling. Say something about it; if you're ignored then just walk away.
