Why can't they make a clientside personal dps meter so only I can see my own dps. Then I'm free to share that information if I want or not.

This is what I've been saying this whole time.

The nay sayers always just ignore this option.

There are no con's to it, it cant be used in any of the negative ways everyone is afraid of. Yet still allows for all of the positive uses of a meter.

You can volunteer your numbers to your guild if you and they see fit. No one can judge you with out your permission, and you can still fine tune your own play.

I hope DPS meters never show up in TERA. Did we need DPS meters in Monster Hunter? No, because if you died, you messed up; if you killed the monster, you did well. Everything else is just pure elitest bull$&%^.

The only thing I would go for is a breakdown after an instance like we see in WoW battlegrounds that shows the overall damage and healing done. That way you can get some input, put it doesn't cause drama during the run itself.

BTW OP, I read all of your points, and disagree with nearly all of them.

So where is the fualt in being able to see your OWN dps, and not others?

I was just responding to the OP with my post.

I think seeing your own DPS would be totally fine. The problem is, if that add-on gets released, I guarantee that a general party DPS meter will be available as well. And that would suck.

After reading some comments all i have to say is....what do you guys mean archers suck at damage and get kicked from groups? My archer is only 32 but he can't lose a duel and pulls hate in PvE, i don't understand this.

Only if the combat log includes other's actions.

Which at the moment, it does not. It only records yours.

I started playing Tera because of Monster Hunter. Tera is not Monster Hunter. Tera has dedicated roles like tank and healer. Monster Hunter does not.

I disagree with this entire post.

I'd rather have a dps that moves out and in to avoid damage then the guy who just eats the damage forcing the healer to heal him just so he can sit in range and spam away.

What does that have to do with a meter?

Thats the same with or with out a meter.
Saying a meter will promote this type of behavior is an arguement, but your just as free to kick someone for doing that as you are for someone doing anything else.

Tera doesn't need a DPS meter lol.
