Has anyone tested against instance (non-BAM) mobs? I still haven't seen someone indicate whether or not the same situation exists.
oh it definatly affects instance things too :( Trash in fane is FAR more dangerous then the bosses(those damn dual axe jerks...) and lancer boss is just plain mean if you miss a block/dodge compared to kaprima miss a dodge/block on Kaprima... go w/e unless it adds a bleed (in which case go ow but w/e XD) miss a block/dodge on lancer? half your HP is gone if he's low and it's a power hit/crit

Then it actually makes sense. The reason why I believe it is intentional is for instancing and non-instance normal mobs have the same flag as "instance normal" mobs. It provides incentive for lancers and warriors to tank a boss while normal adds are handled by the rest of the party. Instead of just having a tank always run around grabbing adds while tanking a boss (which in this game can be insanely deadly), the non-tanks are encouraged to deal with them themselves.
I think this is totally bonkers if true. One of the attractions to playing a warrior/lancer is that they supposedly were tough as nails, now I find out that there is a posiibility glyphed defensive stance makes me about as tough as a sorcerer for 90% of the game while leveling (questing).

If this was true, that would be absolutely silly. But, I suppose they are the developers.
As of now, I will never play a tank for this reason alone, unless I had a friend to level with me from 1-60 (which none of my friends can do). Meh. I hope a Enmasse rep comments on this. I have no idea how to relate this sort of thing to Bluehole.
En Masse: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LET MY SLAYER QUEUE AS A TANK!!?!
/sarcasm on, for those with troublesome sarcasm detectors
Ha-ha! :)
I think this issue was completly drowned by the influx of patch related posts. I find the warrior/lancer changes interesting in regards to this as well. I'm not sure if it really changes anything regarding soloability.
P.S. - I was doing Bam quests on my slayer with two warriors, a mystic, and an archer, and there were at least five isntances when one of the warriors missed a dodge, and was then two shot.... I never died once during the multi-BAM party. When I was hit, it hurt, but it wasn't enough to nearly insta-gib me.
They take more damage because they are the class who needs to be paying attention and people are relying on them
Can you imagine how [filtered] stupid it would be if you took 30% of the damage you do right now on boss hits? you wouldnt block at all you would just flat out dps on both classes.

if thats the case, why is it only normal mobs and not BAMs? so they need to be paying more attention on trash but shouldnt have to on bosses?
