They should have really allowed NA/EU to mix. A robust population will make or break this game, and segregating english speaking (for the most part) nations isn't going to help them keep up with turn over.

It only seems horrible because you got the [filtered]tier end of the stick and that's just the fact of it; They did what had to be done which was choose the lesser of two evils. Allowing malicious activity to roam freely, and users with high ping to each other that end up causing lag in an online experience detracts from the immersion and player satisfaction which ultimately greatly affects sales. It's not the end of the world, end of A world yes, but there is still the europe version of Tera available for you to play.

If that was the case, then they shouldn't have advertised that there would be no IP blocks for the past two years.

It doesn't seem horrible to you because you DIDNT get the ****tier end of the stick and that's just the fact of it.

It's not playing favoritism if you want to play on the US servers buy the US copy of the game, otherwise your going to be playing on the EU servers where you live like everyone else does. world of Warcraft does the exact same thing so does Aion, SWTOR and pretty much every MMO on earth.

I've got to ask this then. Would you prefer to pay for more infrastructure and man hours for a small increase in subscriptions which may or may not actually pay for extra costs?

Time zones separate the English speaking segments from the others quite well enough.

You could ask for opening South American IPs specifically if you wish, but any other continent aside Antarctica has better options.

Let them get their feet on the ground first.

I'm sure the whining is helping the situation. I'm also sure it is making a good first impression with people.
