Me and a friend had this discussion earlier. Maybe three seperate factions and you win tokens by killing the opposing faction to win pieces or gear(pvp gear, maybe cosmetics etc).
So basically, it would be like GvG except you get prizes for it?
I think an expansion where you get to play as the Argon faction would be amazing.
Not sure how you would do factions otherwise...Poporia was the only area engaged in a civil war, I think.
Dedicated areas with PvP vendors in them where outlaw is automatically enabled (even on PVE servers) would be better and/or containing PvP quests (think training area for new recruits and veterans, lore-wise) of things like "Kill a player without dying" or "Kill 5 players without losing crystals". Things like that...to encourage PvP without rewriting the entire game story.
The only factions I can think of making in this game at this point is between regular players and outlaws. Thing is that would really work with pvp at the moment unless outlaws are given option perks to be able to do besides PKing.
On a somewhat related note, when battlegrounds get added you will be able to pvp for gear.
No, because players always join the faction with the biggest population or wins the most. If you want real pvp, ask for an arena or do DMs.
Factions would have made PvP servers make more sense..... All it is is killing fellow Federation members with not enough penalty for it, like K-Tera has.
I went through this during CBT tho, i don't really care what they do with PvP servers anymore.
