But seriously, I do like some of the skimpy armors, but does it ever start to look like armor and not just cloth clothing?

My lancer has been wearing armor for a while now.

Will probably be as close as you'll get.

Depends on the race and the class you chose, Leather looks like light leather type armour, flexible, not very protective but lets you be mobile, cloth lookes like what cloth should and plate, well if you aren't a castanic female, it does look like it should offer some protection.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

there are various image sites with full collections of all the armors for every race. easy enough to find, just see for yourself.
