Does this game really deserve an M-Rating?

I've played a many MMO, and really... so far I haven't seen anything that comes close to making this game M-Rated. At best, I see this game being T-Rated, hell even a T-Rated game has the option to remove chat filters. The blood in this game is barely noticeable as well. The violence level is on par with any other MMO, as well as the sexual suggestiveness of the female characters.

So why is it a M-Rated game? I think it's a marketing ploy to draw more kids to play. Kids absolutely LOVE M-Rated games.

I think a good example of an M-Rated MMORPG is REQUIEM. Boobs and nipples everywhere, a violence slider in the options, you can have it where body parts fly off the enemies you kill with blood splattering all over and bodies twitching after the kill.

I think partial nudity would automatically make it M rated no? Or wait... isn't that AO? Although I dunno if a statue counts.

If it keeps at least SOME immature 12 year olds from playing the game then I'm all for it.

Statues don't. Otherwise we'd need to post '18+ only' outside museums. The game does need an M rating, partially because of SM and partially because of other bits in the game.

T-Rated games have partial nudity, partial nudity is generally people in their underwear or you might see a butt crack.

AO is full blown sex. Most console games use suggestions that the main character had sex but never show the act itself. So it gets slapped with a M rating instead.

M ratings don't deter them... it draws them in like flies to honey.

Yes, believe it or not, a lot of people don't like blood. And even more, they don't like copious amounts of it.

It's psychology. If an adult says to there child "Don't play that game it's rated M!" What do you think the child will do? He will be tempted to look at the videos of the game and somehow talk the parent(s) into buying it. The producers know this, it's simply a marketing strategy. So, if the game was downrated to T, do you think as many people would buy it if it was rated M? No. People like to try a game for it's rating rather than its actual gameplay (Does not refer to all people but is merely an example provided to prove a point). So, yes I agree with you. lol
