@The Above poster, if you are doing Hard Modes you will at least be getting Fanesteel, which you need for your T13 weapon, so at least you aren't wasting time with whatever else drops.


How do you he is even getting a sufficient amount of fanesteel per run? They dont drop often enough for what we are putting up with, and dreambindings drop even less often than that. Being lucky to get more than 2 fanesteel per run, and being lucky to come out with even 1 dreambinding, is not good enough. And if you dont think you need the slumber gear, dont try to queue for HM >.>

This week we may see some changes tho, as knoxxer said drop rates would be increased. On what is unknown.


I doubt Hard Modes were built around you solely having a specific gear type. >_> Crystals and Accessories matter more, and expendables can help you further.

This I will agree on to an extent, you do need at least the endgame quest gear to not constantly be flirting with disaster.

Good crystals do make an insane amount of difference though, especially for warriors and slayers.
Having the right ones can completely change your dps output on bosses.

Never hurts to grab up nostrums or make scrolls either, nostrums are actually a general merchant item and even the 1g each ones are fairly decent.

I also suggest everyone @lvl 60 go to the glyph master and do a reset, buy every glyph available and really poke at that list. As a warrior I found the attack speed bonuses for evasion and DFA to be very nice boosters to dps in addition to good fine class crystals you can fairly easily triple the size of your crits in the right situations.

It does take a little doing it makes a drastic difference though. ...and it's a lot better than paying a load of money for gear you can earn yourself.
Charms can even matter, don't see enough people using them in lfd groups.

lol, ignore anyone who says they can do HM "effectively" with end game quest gear, no amount of charms, potions, etc is gonna boost you enought to do those effeciently. Couple that with the end game crystals also being rare + expensive and all it take is one [filtered] run for you to be out 400+ gold in high end crystals.

We'll see if they make drop rates better in dungeons.... somehow I doubt it.

YEah, you know what those tales of people failing dungeones usually include? It certainly isn't lack of Sleeper gear, it's lack of Crystals, accessories, and/or knowledge/expendable.

I don't think anyone is suggesting exactly what they need should drop immediately on their first run, only that it should in fact actually drop.
Re-read this sentence from your post...then get back to us.

That is exactly what they want, and would have preferred.

Imagine a world where you spend your time travelling the world doing fun things, instead of running the same dungeon over and over again.

I mean literally the same one single dungeon is what I need to run over and over some dozens more times so I can get the weapon. Then I will run the other two dozens and dozens of more times.

The world outside will be lost forever. I will never ever explore the world and do stuff, other than the horrible torture chamber that is the nexus. I will actually not do that.

If I wander around outside, and find something fun to do like level my mining, then I am not working hard enough at my job and my gear will remain as bad as it is now.



If you think Tera is great with a 0% drop chance sadomasochist model, then you simply have not played the Guild Wars 2 beta or read anything about it.

Asia has a terrible, filthy, disgusting fetish with running the same dungeon a million times. It is stupid. It is a thing of the past. I spit on this game when GW2 comes out. Because of the Asian gear system. F the Asian gear system and F everyone who thinks it is better to grind dungeons than to get equal gear quickly and find something better to do.

You guys really need to learn to think more outside the box. The problem isn't the drop rate as at least one enig almost always drop. The issue is the fact that only the final boss drops enigs.

If you look back at Aion with DP and somewhat BT, each boss had important gear distributed so you was more likely to get gear you needed. Yes I know Aion's drop rate wasn't to some's liking but bear with me. In Tera, most of the gear is more or less unimportant except the final boss's making 90% of the instance worthless.

What needs to be done is have Enig drops distributed between each boss solving the drop problem and making the instance as a whole more worthwhile. As far as BT goes, DPS weapons definately needs to be dropped by anyone but final boss as you more or less need that weapon to actually win with little to no problems. By doing that, you may decrease the chance of elitist kicking players that don't have enough dps.
