I have six characters. A 32, a 28, a 22, and three 11's. Across all of those characters, I have collected a total of 25 dawnhide - only half of what would be necessary to raise just one character to 50 skill.
It was like this after closed beta, but not actually in closed beta. Why was it changed? It is a problem that desperately needs to be addressed.
Take your 32 and solo BoL. I get about 9-12 a run and it doesn't take long at all.
Dawnhide was pretty crappy in Closed Beta, too. The only hide we ran across in beta that didn't suck was Rough Hide and that was only after it was buffed for CBT...4? 5? One of the two.
But yeah. On the one hand, it's something that should be fixed because it's just a weird discrepancy. However, it's also easily remedied some levels later by farming Bastion of Lok.
Honestly gravehide seems to drop like candy at high levels.

The current character I'm playing is Lv38 and only leveled from questing. That character alone has accumulated 75 dawnhides. Seems OK to me.

if you actually killed monsters instead of spamming quests, you would have enough by now. -_-
You can gather poop for other professions from the oodles of nodes laying all over the place.
Why should you need to level up and farm BoL or commit genocide to get enough leather to skill up to 50?
If all crafts sucked and were miserable equally that'd be one thing.
I have over 200. They sit in my bank and smell funny. I'll probably never use them.
