EME: You Hurt TERA's Economy - Badly.

Please take a hard look at what you have inadvertently accomplished with the removal of mystery boxes from the game:

1) In KTera, you could purchase the boxes to flip unused items into worthwhile items.

2) In NA Tera, we are literally deleting minion and other unused crystals because they cannot be sold and cannot be transformed into anything of use.

The result is the crystal economy is a hot mess. The crystals we need are in short supply, prices high, and it doesn't seem like it's going to get better. Everything the devs put in had a purpose and it worked extremely well for KTera for over 1 year now. I still can't understand why you caved in to those beta testers that complained about a mechanic they clearly did not understand.

Don't even get me started on how nerfed down the hard modes are, either.

I agree. I liked the box mechanic. Shame they cut content for us like that (also pet shops).

I'd also like to remind you of the promise that NA Tera would not be several patches behind KTera and that we would have a dedicated team of people to make sure that we weren't waiting on content that has been and is already available over there. We have no training grounds, no BGs, no Nexus, no T13, and tons of bugs that are fixed over there that aren't here.

I see no communication about any of this - at all.

alternatively, they could lower droprates for "unneeded" or less used crystals, which i would prefer.

En Masse also [filtered] up the economy hard by removing the rewards from IMS. Overall, the game has been so poorly managed so far.

Don't forget about eggs removal - and EME's usual hypocritical excuses. Fortune eggs did provide additional solid supply, which paired with high quality crystalline boxes provided what people needed.

You can't flip few knobs into 'off' position and expect things to work automagically without providing anything in exchange. The same about most of the castration so far - shops, boxes, eggs, crafting quests. They are gone, and there is nothing to replace their functionality.

It also shows how absolutely clueless Knox/Hager are about the game and its mechanics. Completely clueless.

Btw, from amusing things - EU client has broken broker (keyword search doesn't work in en locale) since the beginning of OBT. How could they go live with it, is well ....

I've never played Ktera, but I keep hearing about these Mysterious Boxes. They sure do sound important. Maybe they'll bring them back?

I haven't played around with the auction house enough to get a good hold on how the economy is on my server. I figure the more rare an item is, the higher demand and price. That at least gives players a place to dump all the excess of gold (which I must believe people have as atm I'm poor... :( ). Wouldn't that in turn be a good thing then? To have something to really give players to dump gold in?

Or are there other places for players to put their gold?

The mystery boxes were little gambling minigames where you put in gathering materials and it doubled the material *or* the box disappeared completely.

You could do this for cyrstals too, it would sometimes give you decent crystals in return for bad ones, or disappear with your crystals altogether.

Bringing back boxes is absolutely stupid, because it just reinforces RNG, and that type of RNG is bad.

Solution?

Make special crystals be bought from Specialty Store vendors, for an added expense.

Gee wilikers, problem solved. Death has now become a goldsink.

You also don't want pet shops back. You really, really don't. They did nothing but spam the screens of players, cause lag, and few actually checked them. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing them back and allowing them to be set in specific parts of cities/towns, like you know...a marketplace. But that seems like actual work, and I doubt En Masse can be bothered.

Having played half a year of the original version of this game and cb of here and now release and at 60 (again). My feelings about the box's are negative - going back to the Korean version. My friends and I that played found ourselves more annoyed with the boxs's then finding them even worth while.

We always ended up NPCing them or shoving them in guild bank for other people to use that where bored and liked breaking things. I however do miss the Lucky eggs and the ability to make the nice eggs that is my only big gripe.

The Pet Shops they do nothing that great. I just only saw Bot's use them in korean version littered with their drops to make gold to their "buyers". Unless it was CH where "legit" players sold stuff..if you could figure that it was in the first place.

If they did however add a "buying" tab in the auction house that would be just fine. feeling horrid about the AH fee's? That's the vanarch's job to control taxs/fees coming soon anyways.

As to why we were not getting BG's until summer. It was already stated that BHS removed them during QoA 1 patch to revamp-fix them to something suitable. Not half arsed battlegrounds that anyone who has played the original version of the game would be glad they are revamping/new maps/rewards for us to play on.

Nexus I believe they want more of the players to hit 60. As it IS a endgame event/area...seeing how you can get t13 gears (Yes they do exist...go look at the vendors :/) from the Nexus rep vendors and other really nice items. And of course the stuff isn't really friendly to low level players...

Vanarch/Political starts registration on the 18th I'm sure you all saw that recent post. Once again enough people needed to hit 50 and the requirements before that even starts as well.

And QoA 2. is already in the works, and there have already been translations and posts by Cori / European forums which has been posted on these forums several times by several different players. And with having watched their updates..i'd say they have been doing decent updates fast enough. We should be seeing them soon as well.

well done champ, way to show your ignorance of mischief boxes, it's people like you working at EME being the reason why they were removed in the first place, I'll give you a hint, THAT specific box isn't the box people care about, I'll let you figure out the rest on your own
