Most people here that thinks this is a "Standard response", you obviously never worked in a professional environment. This type of treatment/response to customer is not acceptable.

That GM's attitude is what gets you fired in any professional career. So I do dare you act like this GM's attitude on your career job in the future if you ever get one, this will ruin your reputation among with other sister companies you work for.

Cheers

What did the GM said wrong?? he told the customer there's nothing I can do and I cannot explain you why because is company policy, "the customer keeps nagging him" since the conversation was going nowhere why should he keep listening to a spoiled brat that thinks he can talk bad to someone who is giving him a service?

@OP, You really want the GM to lose his job over this?
What the hell is wrong with with people like you who are out for blood over the dumbest siht?
Was the GM out of line? Maybe
Was the player not taking no for an answer? Seems so.
Have you ever had a bad day at work and maybe did something you shouldn't have and were fortunate enough not to get fired? I have and I didn't do it again because I learned from it.

People have bad days

I for one think you guys should leave the GM alone and let him do his damn Job.... I would like to see you stay as calm as this GM has if you have to talk to 100s if not 1000s of players each day that are rude and inconsiderate and keep bugging you over the same topic after you have given em an answer....

Being a CSR or GM should be able to handle the stress of hundreds rude customer, this is basic of what requires for that position. If you can't handle it then that job isn't suited for you.

Nothing the GM said even approached "rude".

Y'all who think anything he said was rude are really self-entitled cry-babies, who are talking out your collective asses.

They are literally hired, trained, and paid to do this. Acting professionally in the face of hotheaded anger saves customers and keeps you earning their revenue, even if you can't give them what they want.

Act like he acted to a motivated angry party(like Garbuk) and you can believe that it is going to spread and become a new face of your company. That's not good pr for your business.

In ways they play the game, yes they are just like you and me. But not in a case like this.

A GM gets paid to do what he does, we don't get paid to play.

I'm not siding with the player here, because he's clearly one of those 'terror' customers that you have to deal with, but that doesn't give you an excuse to be unprofessional.

This is exactly why these people go through training, to deal with people like these. What's the use of training if all you expect are butterflies and bunnies on the other end of the chat?

The GM didn't say anything wrong, technically, and no, no company has that policy. In fact, most may even have the 'Customer first' policy.

Of course, they could just refuse him service, which is what they did right at the end, but this should have been done with a straight response with no form of side remarks, eg "You can be as curious as you want". That's where the GM stooped down, in my opinion.

And this is the exact type of person who would have let this go, because rude is innate.

It takes one to know one. Yes, I think it's rude because I myself have been rude before.

Being rude isn't an excuse when you're in that position. For you, for example, you can be rude all you want since your opinion has really no value in this (see what I did there?), but any CSR should know that any interaction from their end is a touch-point between the game (the brand) and its market and customers - you know, the ones paying and actually giving them revenue?

This is a common way to respond when dealing with stupid people.

Guild bank gets robbed and you go cry to GMs?

I'd just leave chat. They didn't abuse a bug or anything to steal. They abused your stupidity.

Seriously people need to gtfo with their stupid whining and let support for more serious matters.
Also the guy threatens to ss chat and stream it? I'd freaken ban him:)

Too many idiots in this world

Like I have been saying... GMs are Normal Players like you or me... Each person has different Personalities, taste and dislikes... and different levels of tolerance... there is just soo much someone can take before they explode...

And as I have Said I think this GM did a hell of a Job not to tell the Player to go to Hell...

What would have been rude is if the GM just quit Chat Like I have seen in other Games... and even then I dont blame them after what they had to deal with...

As someone said... if you are Polite, respectful, or considerate in manner... then the GM will be Polite, respectful, or considerate in manner...

Be Rude, disrespectful, and keep after the GM, then the GM will be Polite, respectful, or considerate in manner.... up to a point... then the GM will get Annoyed with you...
