mmmm... I think the odds are there will be a cash shop. There are very, very few (relatively) small MMOs that do not cash shop. And I had already expected this quite a while ago, before KR's item shop announcement.
Still doesnt say whether you'll do this or not in the future. Put this issue to rest by saying
"No we will not have a cash shop that affects ingame characteristics other than cosmetic in any way, shape or form"

I wish the SOPA bill passed and that people couldn't hide behind their monitors.
Ever since I saw the fat guy destroy his xbox on youtube that's all I can picture of these people.

Also people got super worked up over a Bandage (Out of combat) and a vitality(stamina) restore potion(can be used in combat) >_> LOL

For the illiterate people from last thread. The guy who was using google translate for that webpage corrected himself in that it was 100% STAMINA pots, not hp. So basically alt gear, some quality of life things like crystals not breaking (buy this or just buy the crystals in game), or hp and mp regen buffs of unknown strength but likely not much if we go by how much crystals affect these things.
This is even assuming it comes to EU/NA.

Take the cosmetic out of that statement also, or flat out tell me that I won't be able to get any of the items that help hold my interest in a game without paying extra. I can come to a decision much more easily -- and retain a better overall view of the product and company regardless of outcome -- if they're just -straight- with me. I would wager I'm not alone on that. I'd much rather hear 'Calypso, look...we simply aren't going to make cosmetic items or fashions or petpets available in-game', and I would retain more respect for that company regardless of whether I chose to stay or leave, because they had the good faith to simply be direct. And directness, forthrightness, simplicity...these are all qualities that can inspire someone to remain loyal to a product and company even if they have to accept some things that might otherwise make them disinterested in a game.
