Can't you keep monetization to worldly possession like shirts, pendants, figurines, plex, server changes, conventions, art-books, maps, posters, cups and mugs, game guides, collectible cards, real hats, wrist bands, bandannas, sew in patches for hats shirts ect, and I'm sure alot more I cant think of.


Things that should honestly be apart of the game world (not monetized) are things like cosmetic glasses, hats, clothes,and cosmetic re-customization, potions, and vitality.

Thank you for hearing what your forum goers are saying, but alot of people that are interested in this game don't use the forums and upon launch what is the conversion rate of players that will ever come to the site other than for subscription// support section.

Give this some thought when I see a game going free to play I lose interest because its admittance they weren't able to make a AAA title, don't have any interest in actually developing more content, and are just milking the dieing fanbase and moms credit card.

It's not that people don't want to believe that.

It's that there's an expectation in place when it comes to what you expect from a pay to play game.

When a game is free to play, sure, cash shops galore. Buy all the advantages you want because that's how the dev makes their money.

But in a P2P game? We already pay out subs. Why is there an added incentive to pay MORE money for more advantage on top of that?

Well, at least your priorities are in check EME, Successful launch is a massive part of releasing a game.

However, if you use the cash shop to provide items that are not accessible outside of using Real Currency, you better be disabling all subscriptions. In my personal opinion, Cash Shops do not belong in subscription based games, you're already paying for the content with your sub. Forcing people to pay for in-game items in any way is double dipping into people's pockets, people outraged against this in WoW when WoW tried to offer a cross server LFG Friend invite using Real ID. Their LFG was free, their Real ID was free, but simply inviting someone on Real ID to do LFG was going to cost money?

Needless to say, it was shouted down with intense hatred most of the community, and rightfully so, and was then offered as a free service because of this. All I can tell you is, that when it comes to Cash Shops in Sub. based games, tread lightly because it'll have severe consequences.

Now, if all you're doing with this cash shop is offering Character Recustomizations, name changes, server changes or features as such (for a MINIMAL COST, no 25$ dollar garbage), that's fine, I can understand that those systems may take extra resources to maintain. But don't offer anything IN-GAME that cannot be aquired without spending the money.

Enmasse will try to skirt the issue, and flat out lie if they have to, in order to move as many boxes as possible before they announce full f2P mode. You will get no refunds on your box purchase or subscription fees. This game will fall flat on its face just like Aion did.

Don't be stupid about this. Send these greedy, useless, and good-for-nothing cash grab publishers a clear message. Do not support the rape and mutilation of the gaming industry.
