The correct translation of the 100% potion is 100% stamina recovery, not HP. And the 100% bandages are 5% of the HP recovery every second for 20 seconds and can only be used out of combat.

So is the crystal protection coming to NA possibly?

In all the time I've posted here I can't recall disagreeing with you before, Fatwa. But this time, I have to ask: What possible 'changing landscape' could you even -remotely- foresee that would make the whole p2w concept suddenly not only acceptable, but -necessary-?

for people still arguing the items

There is a 100% heal Bandage, as someone pointed out, means no combat use.
There is a 100% stam pot that can be used in combat
There is a 100% res scroll, its like normal ones, but the person comes back at 100% everything.

1. You can use the bandage before entering combat, giving you a damn significant advantage.
2. It is not defined as a stam potion. The potion says recover, we do not know if that is HP, MP or stamina yet, but any of those are mechanic effecting and therefore unbalancing.

What company would be idiotic enough to make a direct statement in one direction or the other?

Every single one? I believe just yesterday EME announced there will not be battlegrounds at launch. And Blizzard announced a while back that PvP arenas won't be in launch. And ArenaNet announced that you get access to all beta weekends if you pre-purchase. Those sound like pretty direct statements to me.

Precisely. Unless EME come out and say that there will not be any cash shop items beyond PURELY cosmetic changes, i will seriously consider (i.e. will, after giving them time to respond) dropping my sub.

Then do everyone a favor and just drop the sub now. You expect them to give you a 2 year plan of EXACTLY how they plan to run the game before you make your purchase? The fact is they could change the game to a tab-target game if they damn well wanted to, but they'd be stupid if they did. The same can be said for any facet of the game, including Pay2Win.

If you're really willing to unsub because of something that hasn't happened yet, you must not care for the game that much, so just do it.

Problem solving:

It seems the problem stems from T-cat, currency gained from your subscription in Korea and more from buying the items.

Remove T-cat, keep the vanities.

/solved

I would be surprised if they removed t-cats. Keeping t-cats as some variation of veteran rewards while tying it into the cash shop is a very, very smart idea.

It would be a bad idea to not start out with subscription-only t-cats.

This idea actually has been the more popular idea around the office. We just want to get it right so we haven't made any final decisions. We got bigger fish to fry right now besides selling items - like launching a stable TERA service.

Honestly, I was going to pre-order today now that I'm home from work but seeing this news has me positive that until we get confirmation that there will NOT be a cash-shop that has anything more than vanity items in it, I will not be paying nor playing. I'm sorry but a pay to play game for $15 a month can not have a pay to win cash shop and expect people to not be angry.

En Masse, I'm EXTREMELY disappointed. I had very high hopes.

Good....GTFO..don't let the door hit you where the lord split you...

Seriously, they have said they have other priorities such as launching the god damn game....so why are you all crying like school girls over something that isn't in the NA release yet..and may never be. Of course they aren't going to confirm right now one way or the other as they are concentrating on launching the game.

If you can't deal with the fact that the strategy for this game may change in the future then go back to wow or whatever it is your playing now, and pay your 25 or 100 for vanity mounts that do absolutley nothing and play a game that takes 0 skill to play...[filtered]ing about something that is in Ktera and not in the NA release is stupid.....because it happens in Ktera doesn't mean it will happen here...

Keep up the great work dev's and community relations team...keep the game difficult and challenging and don't listen to the wow kiddie pool who want to dip their toes into something they won't be able to handle anyway

1. Yep so much of a advantage that the first combat swing ends its effects. Totally OP.
2. Its stam, it was even said by a EmE staff. qq more

Wait a minute, so someone using a bandage to before a fight to try to get on equal ground as their attacker is unfair? huh?
