Echanting is Unfair

The enchantment here sucks, with that said it's been bull [filtered] in just about every MMO I've played, to be honest. At least, you can't break your item, or have it revert back some in this game.

I'm curious as to whether increasing the fodder item level improves enchant success rate. That would be pretty cool.

In the same article I referenced earlier, the commenter posted a PURELY HYPOTHETICAL chart that showed the difference in item-levels against increased rate of success. Something to the effect of...

item-level difference | chance of success

-1 – 100%
0 – 75%
2 – 50%
4 – 25%
6 – 15%
8 – 10%
10 – 5%
12 – 0%

Again, these are completely bogus numbers meant only to show the probable functionality of the system under this theory. With how heavy this game's RNG system is, they're likely way overstated.

Imral, that could be tested in-game, if someone was minded to.

Well, It could easily be verified with a bunch of cheap, low-tier items. I would say doing statistical testing on T12 would be....well, it would take some substantial pockets. Maybe cooperation by a group of players.

First the RNG enchanting system isn't as bad as other games like Aion (going backwards on fails) or vindictus (weapon destruction on fail), but....

The RNG in Tera could be considered worst because There are 3 RNG systems when it comes to gear. Enchanting, Bonuses and luxing.

So enchanting itself is "better" then Aion / vinductus.... Tera actually has MORE gear RNG to suffer through.

I also feel that the major factors in people leaving the game are in fact the RNG systems. I'm not advocating to "Make things easier/less work", all I'm saying is to incorporate a work = reward system, and adjust difficulty to compensate.

This way, if you're skilled, if you can do the content, and you do it whatever amount of time the devs see fit, then you get the gear.

Make the game experience more consistant person to person. Besides, we all know the real game is pvp, and gear makes a nice difference in PvP. Lets get past the gear grind so we can enjoy the real game please :P

I got a mystic enig and will try it. But the point is totaly missed guys. . . Echanting is not fair. One person will do 0-9 in minutes and someone like me that has farmed for weeks and cant even go from 8-9 and have spend tons of gold. It took 25K to get my gloves from 8-9 and now im 20K on my weapon just to do 8-9 and counting. Ive seen people getting there PvP gear to 9 already and im still stuck on my PvE gear. Im getting realy tired of doing the same 3 dungeons and farming for a sollid month just because my gear is not good enough for heroics yet.
