When I tested this I put both races up against a wall then tested reach on thunder strike, and Elin's leap forward and have a signifcantly longer reach of where the attack lands. I also tested it on mobs and Elin's are able to damage with thunder strike at a longer reach than other races.
A recent study from Stanford University shows 97% of those playing Elin are men who suffer from a lack of self esteem and whose emotional growth is stunted. The over-reach of Elins is designed to compensate for these issues in hope of creating a virtual sense of security that may transcend to the real world and result in less depression, less crime and overall an improved society.
Your empathy & compassion for those folks is appreciated. ^^

I can't tell if your attempting to be funny, or a douchebag.

I think the intent was to be funny, but i dont think it worked.
So Baraka, Human, and Popori have the "best" striking distance, in case they can't actually move forward.
And no matter how you look at it, the OP is wrong about Elin having a longer reach?
So it's the Popori that are OP, being so small and still striking that far.
That picture was before the normalization.
It is no longer valid.
That is why i asked if anyone has any current data.
Normalization only affected hitboxes, it would do nothing to movement or reach. All they did was brought hitboxes closer together.
There's no reason to believe that it would truly affect the picture shown enough to change the overall value disparity. If it does, not by a whole lot. It would not change the fact that Popori swings much further than Elin, for example.
Normalization apparently did not just affect hitboxes.
Here is some screenshot proof.
I put both characters against the corner of the wall so their hitboxes are in the exact same place, and aimed at the stone square and casted Thunder Strike.
By comparing the screenshots you see that the Aman's center of impact lands near the edge of the stone floor.
While the Elin's center of impact lands in the grass significantly beyond the Aman's thunder strike.
