I like how idiots like this always forget that Elin have no radials that aid them in combat. You have fun with your lay on hands, ill enjoy hitting .5 meters further than you.

Passively avoiding more damage and being able to strike from further away >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2 hour cooldown skills.

I'm sorry to break this to you, but the best way to avoid needing a 100% health restore is to never get hit to start with. Plus, 2 hour cooldown makes it all but completely useless in any real PvP.

And anyone who has played zerk in PvP for 5 minutes knows how much of a GODSEND even a bit of extra reach can be. They kite the effing hell out of zerks, FYI. Just a LITTLE bit of extra reach can be what lands that badly-needed attack on that irritating sorc.

Does change the fact that you are childishly crying because you are bored of your toys. Every races has its advantages and disadvantages. Deal with it or roll an Elin.

It's not a bug though, it's intended game design... people are just QQ'ing that their preferred race isn't the best.

If a colossal range advantage in PvP is "intended game design", then it's time to fire the designers.

BTW, I sent in a support ticket about this.

If by radials you mean racials then why don't the popori have a longer reach too? In fact popori zerkers have a MUCH worse 2nd combo attack, it has no arc.
also, Elin have about a 1.5 meter range advantage over Aman, not just 0.5, with thunder strike.

I hear BHS is balancing all PvP in QoA 2 (including this) so it won't matter anyway.

Well I was going by averages. Aman seam to be the most Gimped when it comes to range for some reason. As for why Popori have less range I cant say but I agree, they should buff the popori range.

Also did male Castanic for kicks and giggles. Their range falls somewhere between 7.75 and 7.5 methinks. Still shorter than Elin. Probably the same as the Baraka? I don't know, the difference is too small for it to matter.

Overall, I'd say the difference favors Elin pretty well. I tried doing Popori, and yeah, their second attack is utter crap. It's amazing how it fumbles everything up. Their Thunderstrike animation is also really clunky. They should have honestly been given the same default combo building animation that everyone else has.

Or smaller range = smaller hitbox.

I plan to play mostly popori, which have the same racials as the elin yet lack the zerker range as well.

I think it's worth keeping in mind that reach and range are not the same thing rather than saying that whichever race has the longest attack range is unilaterally the best. By reach I mean how far you could hit if your character didn't move forward at all on their attack. Reach combined with the forward movement of an attack is what determines range.

Sure, in the various videos it shows Elin's range is longer but their reach is quite short. Elin's are getting their range because they move forward so much on their animations, whereas the Baraka and Aman don't move forward as much.

Depending on your outlook that is a definite disadvantage to Elins. I've been in situations in instances where the forward movement of my attacks (often combined with badluck or unfortunate timing) has gotten me killed. My current berserker is a female high elf because, well, we all know why. I'm thinking I'll do Baraka instead because I think they're cool looking and they have the shortest forward movement on their attacks but have a very long reach. Meaning, they reach the furthest while moving the least, which to me is nice.

I'm not saying there is no advantage to having a bit more total range but keep it in perspective and weigh all the components.
