Without going into the details that I'll know after further study (when I have time after CBT5 is over)...
The difference is so infinitesimally small that is was pretty much a waste of time. Yes Elins do have a very, very slightly longer range. But in practical terms, compared to F-Castanic, Elin has approximately a 36ms advantage on thunder strike.
That's it. 36ms.
I have a hunch as to why M-Amans attack shorter. If I have the extra time I will look into it a bit further. But there's a certain give and take involved in how attacks work. It's not just purely how far out you can attack and still hit.
Also what I think is funny is that even the Elins ignorant of range and hit boxes rarely complain. I have not seen a thread anywhere were Elins complain about their lack of racials. Its just everyone else trying about Elin toys.

Why would Elin players complain about racials when none of the racials in the game come even close to having a longer overall reach and being more difficult to hit?

Imagine it this way: Elin have a racial that says "10-20% less chance to be hit by non-lockon attacks", and that "racial" is running 100% of the time.
