En Masse,
Currently there appears to be no definitive Guild vs. Guild ladder system. A ladder system would provide the Tera community a friendly and competitive structure that Tera is currently lacking. Since the announcement of GvG being available across all servers in Tera, the addition of a Guild vs. Guild ladder system would benefit the entire Tera community. This would also provide incentive for World PvP through GvG & assist in maintaining an active community. (In short, ladder systems equate to renewed subscriptions and possibility of being picked up for professional circuits.)
Below is a basic ranking system that may work for Tera.
At the start of each ladder season (recommended quarterly or semi-annual resets) each guild starts at 1000 Rating.
+/- 100 Rating = (Winners +20 / Losers -20) Example: Guild A 1100 Rated beats Guild B 1000 Rating. Guild A +20 Rating, Guild B -20 Rating
Each additional +/- 100 Rating = +/- 5 additional points (capped at +/- 20 additional rating (500 Rating difference)
+/- 100 Rating, +/- 20 Rating – No Bonus
+/- 200 Rating, +/- 5 Rating bonus
+/- 300 Rating, +/- 10 Rating bonus
+/- 400 Rating, +/- 15 Rating bonus
+/- 500 Rating, +/- 20 Rating bonus
Examples:
Example 1:
Guild A – 1200 Rating
Guild B – 1000 Rating
Guild A beats Guild B (Guild A gains +15 Rating (due to 200 rating difference (Base 20 Rating minus 5 for rating difference) & Guild B loses 15 Rating (200 Point difference)
Example 2:
Guild C – 1500 Rating
Guild D – 800 Rating
Guild C beats Guild D (Guild C gains 0 Rating (due to 700 Rating difference) Guild D loses 0 Rating (Due to 700 Rating difference)
Example 3:
Guild E – 2200 Rating
Guild F – 1700 Rating
Guild F beats Guild E (Guild F gains 40 Rating (due to 500 rating difference (20 Base +20 Bonus)) Guild E loses 40 Rating (20 Base + 20 bonus)
---------
Addition Incentive:
Achievements (1500 Rating, 2000 Rating, 100 Wins, 1000 Wins, 100 loses, 1000 loses, etc…)
End of Season Unique Titles, special in-game non-competitive items, such as hats for top ranked guilds on each server.
--------
Restrictions:
Minimum Requirements for a GvG to be considered Ranked
A minimum threshold of points must be achieved through killing the opposing guilds members.
- Each kill equals 1 point (Including Guild Leaders… Please change current system so GL are only worth 1 point.)
- 50 Minimum Kills/Points to qualify for Ranked GvG
Note: Once a GvG has reached the minimum points to qualify as a ranked match, if a Guild forfeits the war, the forfeiting guild counts as a lost and other guild is recorded as a win and Ratings are applied.
Note: If a Guild forfeits a War prior to points / kills threshold has been achieved by ether side then match is not considered ranked.
