I have no problems with FPS, everything has been running smooth for me ever sense closed beta 1 etc.
Don't really notice any significant FPS issues unless I'm fighting a BAM and my screen starts shaking or something....makes my FPS fluctuate like crazy lol. Or if I'm in a field with a lot of mobs/players it obviously goes down as well.
I too am suffering poor performance. When I first start playing I get 75-80 fps but after a while it staggers to a constant 10-20 fps. No matter how I change the graphics settings. Even moving everything to 0 and turning on low performance dimming I get awful 10-20 fps. It takes closing out the game and logging in again to fix it, then it only works for another half hour or so.
I have a powerful machine. All parts work, not overheating.
Win 7(64)
i7@2.4
dual amd 6990s in Crossfire (have also disabled crossfire to no avail)
16gb ddr3
Using the TERA diagnostic my system blows the game out of the water, and pre-release I had no FPS issues at all runnning at max. But starting yesterday I can't play for more than an hour without it becoming unbearable.
I haven't read the entire thread, so read what I mention with caution:
I have heard that changing the lighting setting from 2 to 1 or 0 will increase video performance as it disables the in-game anti-aliasing. On the note of anti-aliasing, you can force AA through your graphics card's management application. In addition, check any running background processes. While unlikely, there may be one causing problems. It appears that having Steam running in the background MAY have an impact on TERA on certain systems.
I've no FPS issues what so ever, 2500k @ 4.5Ghz, GTX 570 840/core and SSD Raid0, even in towns like velika FPS drops to ~40-45 maximum all other scenarios steady 60 FPS so far.
go into your bios and turn off speed step there problem solved this game hates amd and intel power saving options
