Hard to say, in theory they already know what the issue is and how the exploit works so it "should" be a quick fix. But in reality, it all depends; could take up to days if we're unlucky.



Though I think they should bring the server down for now and see if they can apply a quick fix and possibly a roll back...

People actually believed that screenshot on the first page?
I'll let you guys in on a little secret - its possible to make it look like anyone you want said something in chat (if people are stupid enough to fall for it)

By putting enough spaces after something your typing in chat, you can bump it down to the next line. You can then type anything you want (For example: "[Admin][Anna] :" ) and it will all be on the next line, looking like someone else is talking.
There are 3 things that make this obvious its fake:
-GMs color in chat is different
-When you try to mouse over the name it doesn't have an underline and is unclickable
-Why would a GM post in the game rather than there be a news post on the site?

Seriously guys, think a little bit before believing everything you see..

What may also result is an arms race.

That being, those who were not initially compelled to exploit the enchanting system may feel that they need to to still remain competitive, after seeing nothing but "XXXX has successfully enchanted (+9) <xxxxxxxxx>" all day, with no server shut downs.

i dont understand of bringing this issue to forum. if you know a exploit why not just report it ? do you think bring in to the forum will help with people getting banned? this only leads to more people learning the exploit and abuse it while it last.

bunch of idoits all i can say.


Did you try talking to a GM through Live chat? I did, they brushed me off.

And here is the dilemma.

Do I enchant all my gear to +9/12 right away on the off chance that they don;t ban or reverse this? To stay competitive. Or do I roll the dice and risk getting banned so I dont get [filtered] later?

it wouldn't even let me put white alchests on anything higher than +6, so there must have been a sneaky trick people were using in order to make it happen if it was happening.

If it was the case, I hope eme does some investigating and rolls these people back.

Don't think EmE will ban for it, but maybe.

decisions you would not have had to make if the problem was dealt with immediately when this was initially reported.

this is gamebreaking.. its not some minor glitch. i dont understand why it was allowed to escalate to this point.
