In Final Fantasy XI (FFXI), when an exploit was found in one of the endgame areas, Salvage, Square-Enix ended up permanently banning wide swathes of players. Many of those that got banned were also those who had no idea what the exploit was but were banned "by association" with the group of players that did it. Several Linkshells, especially the server I played on-- Bismarck, were literally disbanded because of the lack of members or even no leadership to run the LS.
As I am in FFXI and in any other MMO, any player who exploits the game, takes advantage of said exploit, and/or uses it discourage accessibility to the items (i.e.- increasing the item's price on an auction price or related items needed for the item) should be punished.
I have zero-tolerance to cheaters in any game.
And, I expect EME and any other game company to be the same.
In this case, seeing you can sell enchanted items through the Trade Broker for hundreds, if not thousands, of gold, I would like to see the following done as punishment who took advantage of the exploits:
1. Rollback of the account that COMMITTED THE EXPLOIT to a previous backup of the account from a WEEK or a MONTH ago.
AND/OR
2. Permanent ban of the account or deletion of the character(s) from the player's account.
AND/OR
3. Removal of the money from the person's character(s) for each of the items he/she sold on the Trade Broker.
