Enchanting isn't hard, sure its a small investment. It's clear many folk here are former warcraft players and have the gimmie mentality.

Srsly, go play aion. That game screwed you on enchanting AND socketing! took months to get all your gear exactly right, i do find that tedious but TERA's? Lawl please

Pass me whatever it is that you're smoking.

Not smoking anything, Smoking is bad for you unless it's the herb, but that's off topic. Enchanting isn't that hard in tera. RNG is just that, but the fact you can't delevel in enchanting is awesome. It's the only time sink in the game. If thats hard please go back to your other games. Thanks :)

He thinks smoking pot isnt bad for you.

Judging from the majority of people on these boards' feelings about the current state of enchanting I would advise you to go play Tera on the Korean servers.

Enchanting not hard at all, just requires your playtime, gold, and much enchanting fodder. It feels like players want to get this system of gearing done and over with, so another issue can be complained on. The cycle never ends.

Speaking of KTera, yes they do "not" have the system we do currently, that is coming for their version of QoAp2 patch.

The issue isn't difficulty. It's frustratingly ridiculous RNG that is both unneeded and unwanted by the player majority in the NA servers. That's really all that matters.

tbh i hate games where you have to be lucky to upgrade cost effective, i would much rather do a hard quest/dungeon or farming something rare to upgrade my stuff ( maybe even something like alot of rep points or something). but like most korean games they like to gamble, just be thankful they dont break or degrade at this point in time...

ktera has the same system as us now and dosnt have lower chance of fail and the cost of alkahest which also drops in dungeons refine not white

so we r now More RNG based then Ktera

To be honest, I hate static stats chosen for me, with the current system, I both hate and like it. I have some "choices" in getting the stat-mods I want, which also leads to cookie-cutter gear eventually. I hate it for being so damn random. Spellbinding, while it relieves some frustration is costly over time and something KTera do not have.

They just got to tweak that probability system to be more reasonable. Like 1/10 instead of 1/200+, still remains a decent gold sink to prevent gold inflation.

and lower the cost of improved alkahest and spellbind exponentially and/or (preferably and) reduce the amount you need for each attempt (which goes also for crafting).

Don't get me wrong, hell i think gear shouldn't even be the way it as, as a pvper, i would like everyone at the same page with gear. Skill is much more important than a time sink to me.

Comparing one thing to something worse is not a valid argument.

True, but what he meant by that is the system is far less punishing than most mmos out there. Not everyone just played 1 mmo. He wants the game to be more skill-based like most of the old-school gamers would want instead of relying on gear.

In case of gear, it seems like it was made for general masses to be not out-skilled by better players and offered a "sense" of protection, which in turn frustrates both sides because of having to rely on it.
