im assuming the OP is of high lvl....prolly lvl 50+
and im assuming the replies that said area chat is the solution are low lvls.
being a lvl 60, yes i had no problems finding a group when i was low lvl, but as soon as i hit lvl 40, which was far faster than most of the other players in game, looking for a group took me 3 hrs, then i gave up, turned off the game, took a nap, came bak, and took another 4 hrs. this was all done in area chat.
even after being lvl 60 for a week, finding an instance through area chat is pretty much impossible. unlike other games where u have a place for all high lvls to hang out, TERA does not have that yet. people are still lvling and most lvl 60s are just using the dungeon finder.
and yes, the dungeon finder will ALWAYS say estimated time is about 12 mins. it doesnt matter if ur a dps, a healer or a tank, it will ALWAYS say 12 mins (or something close to that). it can sometimes take me up to an hr just queuing for a lvl 60 dungeon.
this is pretty normal though. but if continues to happen even after a month....2 months or even 6 months, its pretty much an indication that no one wants to play this game anymore.

The problem isn't lack of players; it is a lack of tanks.
Simple as that.

I've gotta agree with Sh930114 on the asking in area chat and the wait time.
I try to respond to these threads as often as I can, because if I were experiencing these problems I would be very upset. My suggestions are usually always check in areachat, but I really feel that's only helpful to the majority of our player base which seem to be below 40-50. This probably won't be much help to a higher level.
The wait time is messed up. I've yet to see any game that's had a wait time accurate for anything lol. Whether it's LFG or a GM ticket. I feel like wait times to developers are like trying to fix the clock on a VCR or microwave to our grandparents!
Personally, I'd say give us lower levels time to get up to the higher levels. See if it's as bad as it is now. Hopefully, it won't be. :)
