I am not bashing the game here at all,just trying to get feel from the population on this subject.But as it is, pvp seems so impersonal with out factions,its like going out and just wacking the first person you see in the streets,being in a faction at least you feel like you are part of,and fighting for something,i get nothing out of beating the crap out of somebody just trying to lev up,maybe im getting old and soft, but there it is 8D,and no i am not a carebear,pvp is all i do,i never raid and i usualy dont start things i just finish them >8D and i do love ganging up on outlaws, so much fun!

the point of the system isnt to beat on someone leveling, is to reach endgame and then start feuds with the rest of guilds.

what I like about this system is that in factional games I usually ended hating some of my fellow faction players MORE than the enemy ones, but I had to bear that idiots.

in this system I dont have to put up with anyone's sht, I can kill anyone I want, anytime I want

If anything it can be more personal. Join a guild, a good guild, and think of yourself as your very own group of Argonauts or your very own squad and realize that you will all work together to make yourselves great. That you will have the back of your guild mate and vice versa.

There were times in Lineage 2 where we would drop what we were doing and run to the other side of the world just so we could protect one of our own who went red. We would escort them to a safe spot and help them work off their karma.

Now, this is not to say I don't like faction pvp. But ffa pvp where you are part of a guild can be very exciting. It's just different and, again, more personal.

Factions are something the genre needs to step away from. It's always felt contrived and nearly always leads to imbalances that the developer can't/won't solve.

PvP in TERA is fine. If you need a story to tell you who the bad guy is then maybe TERA isn't the game for. For me the bad guys are the people that have the red names.
