Farming sloths in Balder's Refuge is not netting me the amount of gold people claim it does. These are the clustered sloths smack dab in the middle of BR. They hit pretty hard and the gold they drop doesn't seem as high as some other mobs I've seen. Why is this a popular place to farm? Even the T11 and T12 whites are not that consistent compared to other spots. Still haven't seen a single gold item drop off of them either, but got plenty of Attune recipes. What's the deal? Am I missing something?
My goal is to net more than 1-1.5k an hr and it's not happening. Feel free to flame on or correct me so I can make more golds!
Thanks bros.
I'll check it out. Thanks..
Any others with opinions on why the sloth spot is popular?
soloing bams for money is never a good idea.
I farm Balders monkeys on normal and hard mode once a night just before I go to bed. They drop anywhere from 1-5 gold each usually. After I sell everything to npc (except blue and gold tier 12 items) I usually make around 250 gold. Ive been doing it for 3 weeks now and every day I deposit what I make into my bank and dont touch it. Ive got 4000g saved so far and will use it soon to buy my enig weapon since Ive yet to see it drop after 30 runs
You know, we tell you to go farm sloths in Balders just so you stay away from the good farming areas.
For pure gold gain, killing mobs in Val Tirkai is best. The Argonomporph Dwarf Orcan are a great spot. Tons of them so easy to AoE kill and they're easy to kill. Same thing with the Argonomorph Fiends on the second level of the Three Towers open world dungeon in that map.
From just money drops + vendor trash, i can make close to 800+ gold an hour, and then that becomes even more if I obtain level 60 gold/blues, or crystals.
Soloing BAMs is a big gamble. Sometimes you don't get anything for the few minutes you take to kill the BAM, while in those few minutes, you could have killed quite a few normal mobs.
Also, whenever you want to farm normal mobs for money, never farm mobs that come in pairs. They drop less gold and have lower drop rates than single mobs.
