After leveling two characters to 60, I've noticed a certain trend that really hampered my enjoyment of the game and might be a deterrent for new players starting.

At around level 42-46 Mobs suddenly have nearly twice as much HP as they previously did. Where the game felt arcady and fast pace, the combat started to feel like a chore at this point. I am not asking you to make the monsters "easier" but they should not take quite that long to kill. Make them faster and make them hit harder to compensate so that you have to actually dodge their attacks, but please let us kill them quicker.

This problem only gets worse as you approach and enter into the mid 50s. Mobs take FOREVER to kill. With two 60's and three others in the upper mid 40's, I can tell you this is point where I stop enjoying the game.(Why do you think you see so many Lancers 1-40, but you see far and few between at 55+?) However, at 58 the game mysteriously reverts back to the arcady play style and it becomes highly entertaining again.

I am not asking you to make them weak like minions, just make combat fast and fun again and not a chore for each kill. We can have BAMs and rare elites as our more challenging fights. Last night I lost a lot of zest for the game as I went through Frontera again and had a quest log full mobs that took far too long to kill. It hurt even more because I knew in the 50 range it was just going to get worse.

If they increased mob hp to slow down the leveling process, I really don't like this the idea of it. Make the mobs faster and hit harder so the challenge is slowing us down, not the fact we have to dully weed through a monsters HP over and over again.

Reward player skill instead of bogging us down with overly durable mobs.

Of the five players I know from lower levels that have quit the game, 4 were lancers and one was a Sorc and all of them quit in the two level ranges you mentioned.

3 lancers quit in Westonia, 1 lancer quit in Habere and the sorc quit in Habere.


All my friends who have made it to cap(majority) have still complained about Habere being bad, I also found Habere to be dreadful, Westonia wasn't as bad but still sucks. 58-60 however is the best leveling experience in the game, kill quests are 6-10 mobs, they die fast, you get a lot of destroy quests, some great storyline quests, you zip through zones and cutscenes/voice acting is much better.


If the whole game was like 58-60 a lot less people would have given up on the journery to 60.

I'm in Westonia now on one of my characters. I'm glad you guys paint a better picture for 58-60. Because soloing (I group as much as I can) I am just not feeling the love for the game like I should. Being a Mystic in that area took awhile on some of the story line quests.

It gets easier 58-60 because that's when QoA starts. Likely, it's a lot easier because the devs in KR listened to the QQ over Habere and make it EZmode for the expansion.

You know, it's funny. I'm now passing level 41 with my second character and I just started to find myself getting extremely disinterested. I was enjoying the class play-style up until this point, so you might really be on to something here.

I didn't notice it until it was mentioned but I did have less enthusiasm for my archer in the high 40's and low 50's. Once I hit 55ish I regained my urge to play. I was especially getting peeved with mobs in the areas around Elenea, god I hated that place.

Most people would suggest you start pairing up at level 40, and most definitely do so by 45.

Not sure if you guys already done so or are still soloing the quests.

IMHO The game is REALLY boring if you don't pair up... even before 30s.

This is so true. I am simultaneously leveling 3 characters (one of each tank, heal, dps) to avoid burnout on a single character. All 3 are in their 40's and I have noticed this around 45 for all of them.

I mentioned in my other post, they should make the mobs act more like mini BAMs while reducing the amount to kill them to like 3-4 instead of killing 10 to 24 mobs.

yeah did you also notice again at about level 58 everything suddenly became stupid easy outside of the instances?

I mean nothing in the world seems that threatening after about lvl 58 was just walking all over everything suddenly after struggling to level my warrior for the longest.
