After leveling two characters to 60, I've noticed a certain trend that really hampered my enjoyment of the game and might be a deterrent for new players starting.
At around level 42-46 Mobs suddenly have nearly twice as much HP as they previously did. Where the game felt arcady and fast pace, the combat started to feel like a chore at this point. I am not asking you to make the monsters "easier" but they should not take quite that long to kill. Make them faster and make them hit harder to compensate so that you have to actually dodge their attacks, but please let us kill them quicker.
This problem only gets worse as you approach and enter into the mid 50s. Mobs take FOREVER to kill. With two 60's and three others in the upper mid 40's, I can tell you this is point where I stop enjoying the game.(Why do you think you see so many Lancers 1-40, but you see far and few between at 55+?) However, at 58 the game mysteriously reverts back to the arcady play style and it becomes highly entertaining again.
I am not asking you to make them weak like minions, just make combat fast and fun again and not a chore for each kill. We can have BAMs and rare elites as our more challenging fights. Last night I lost a lot of zest for the game as I went through Frontera again and had a quest log full mobs that took far too long to kill. It hurt even more because I knew in the 50 range it was just going to get worse.
If they increased mob hp to slow down the leveling process, I really don't like this the idea of it. Make the mobs faster and hit harder so the challenge is slowing us down, not the fact we have to dully weed through a monsters HP over and over again.
Reward player skill instead of bogging us down with overly durable mobs.
