Fix. Matchmaking.

Leader doesn't set loot rules. Screwed. Leader is afk. Screwed, I think? Deal with an afk and wrong loot rules or leave? Leader just disbanded(I hope to god he did that and not just left party and had this happen) the party. Screwed. Leader decides to kick you because he's a lancer and you're a zerker? Screwed. Atleast that one I haven't personally seen yet.

You get screwed where you are because now you have to start flying/teleporting to get back to where you are, regardless of course. Now however you probably didn't get loot or quests done, you waited in queue to be teleported randomly around the world for nothing, as a dps that could be like an hour of queue time. You have to go back to queue in the back of the line again and wait.

Why is there a "leader" in matchmaking? We're not friends or guildies or even randoms on a server agreeing to party. Fix the terrible default loot rules, work on vote to kick option and get rid of leaders in matchmaking. Most the time it's ok, but every single time it's a luck of the draw.

The day and age to put trust in people (especially online) has come and past.

Okay, well I will go AFK a lot. I am in queue for more than an hour, so I'll forget about leaving the queue and I will lead the instance. I'll come back 30 minutes later and see party chat stuff and where people were begging me to pass lead etc. I feel bad for them, as it wasn't my intention, but it's not exactly something that was on my concern at the time of going AFK.

Then again, there are times where I have wanted to complete quests in instances (story quests) and people deny me that right, so I merely disband the group. Yeah, I'm a jerk, but so were they, and it was the only reason I went into the instance anyway. Oh, and I disbanded a group the other day while fighting the final boss because someone called me an idiot when the tank pulled with only 3 people in the room.

So yeah, the system is broken. I love it.

Two wrongs don't make a right, Skillmare.

OP, I suggest just forming groups from your server - it's what I do. And it's probably faster than the queue times.

just dont use matchmaking then. the game can not fix peoples behaviors.

en masse could fix the [filtered] system and not give a random person in a group of random people leadership.

Just got kicked for literally no reason. I asked why the healer was pulling every single mob in SM. Every single one from every single room that you don't even go in. Kick, cause the [filtered] moron was the leader.

One major issue i have with instance matching is it doesn't care who does the work to form the group, the leader is random.

EG: I spent quite a bit of time trying to form a party manually, so I could get players from my server.. And I managed to get 2 other good ones ( so 3 including myself).

Queue us up, and bam we have 2 more. But one guy (tank) is dead and clearly afk.. Luckily I still hav ehte lead, so I kick him, and queue us again. We get a new lancer.. Suddenly it gives him the star..

I ask for it back, he refuses.. Utter bs. I manually recruited the majority of the party and I get zero priority to actually lead hte party I built.

Since it was like my 2nd dungeon run, I was like yea whatever and went along wit hit.

The guy ofcourse was terrible and made no attempt at real leadership...

So next time my only recourse will be to exit and reform and try agian.. Pretty stupid.

It should give priority to those who manually form the group, not any random solo-quer'er who checked the box willing to lead.

EG: Manually form grp of 3 - you did the majority of the work - keep the star.
Form a grp of 2, and another does the same, 2 v 2.. roll the dice (between those 2 only).
grp of 2, and the other 3 are solo queue = keep the star.

He wasn't dead. Dead to you in an instance means they just haven't teleported in yet.

Still, last night another group had an offline lancer tank. She was doing fine, got dc'd or who knows what and never came back. Luckily we had a warrior who was very good without having any glyphs for tanking things and we finished the instance, SM, just fine. If he was an archer or something instead we would have had no one able to put out good aggro except the healer, meaning every single fight would've devolved to chasing down the monsters.

Can't kick the dc'd lancer. Can't recruit another one. Broken system.

I see you had terrible parents. At least you get to take it out on everyone else.
