So I've come across these things twice so far while playing. Once was in the Colossal Ruins (video link below) and the other was in Tempest Reach near the lighthouse. So you spend a bit of time getting to the end of these little platform paths and they typically lead to nothing, though they do sometimes have a great view while you're going up them.

Was wondering if these served some purpose, or were at one time meant to serve some purpose but was removed from the game, or will at some point serve some purpose but hasn't been added in yet?

They're mostly just for views. I like to zoom out, turn my camera to the side and play TERA like a traditional platformer :)
