i bought the game....downloading takes its while...
Hope im not disappointed:)
I do hope they add something to fly ourselves in the future. Just not make it combatable so there's no pvp spoiling.
i did take a look at aion but meh i dont like it.
This game is much more polished.

Chances are , no flying mounts or at most very rare ones that can only be used by Guild leaders holding certain political positions similar to L2.

Everyone having flying mounts ruins world pvp and despite what people say, this game was made with pvp in mind. PvE servers themselves are the farthest from the original concept than the pvp servers.

Flying mounts don't ruin world pvp. Only terrible WoW pvpers think this. World PvP in WoW was dead long before flying mounts.

The world of TERA couldnt handle flying mounts, the game world wasnt designed for it.

1) Invisible walls errywhere.
2) I can bet half the zones simply change in some parts. Grass one pixel, sand the next
3) More reasons i cant think of
4) Even more reasons I cant think of
5) Something about PvP
6) wow clone

yeah i also think it would be a major overhaul if they want to add this....
Anyway...

If i join a specific server will my character stay at that server? or can i move the character to another server?

thanks.

1. Same thing WoW had...oh look world redone to allow flying mounts in vanilla Azeroth in Cataclysm
2. Terrain changes are irrelevant for flying mounts
3. Go on try
4. You cant think of anthing else can you
5. PVP is irrelevant...flying mounts do nothing to it
6. Just like WoW is a clone of Runescape which is a clone of D&D PnP game...I can go on and on with this so this one is also irrelevant

The massive overhaul of the game it would take to implement the flying mounts would take quite some time and be an expansion pack style thing.

With all that being said keep the flying mounts out of the game.Nice to see another MMO that does not jump on the bandwagon of flying around and keeps you on the ground like Rift.

I for one hope they never implement anything like this.

If the OP is ready to hate a game simply because he cannot fly they he may as well just not bother installing it and go play something else because no matter what he has already made his decision on what he will think of the game simply because of his attitude before even playing it.

I'm pretty positive that WoW did not have "Invisible walls." WoW did have terrain that blocked you however, which from a player point of view is a lot better than an invisible wall as it makes more sense. If WoW had invisible walls, there would be certain bugs that were found later through wall hopping that would not exist I'm pretty sure. But anyway... That was absolutely not the reason why WoW did not have flying originally.

Originally... it didn't have flying because of "point 2" which you said was irrelevant.

Did you ever look at the minimap for WoW while there wasn't flying in original Azeroth? There were some bloody horrible textures out there. If you took the game off line and looked around, the levels were designed to only look nice where players would actually be looking. Meaning if they flew over head, they'd see ugly unpolished uncared for stuff. Swathes of blurred and smeared textures and such.

Games are good at being "fake" ... All those fancy buildings you see in the distance? Chances are they're billboards and low res! They look great, cause you'll never get close to them. ;)

So, Azeroth overhall was needed to solve this, basically. They had to redesign the "Levels" to work with flying.

THAT BEING SAID!

I kinda like things the way they are in Tera. Don't need flying mounts... but I would love a dragon mount =D Oh well... one day... maybe a basalisk mount? >:3 Game rocks regardless!!!

Actually Wow had a ton of invisible walls. There was actually a mod made that showed you your x y z axis markings in game. This allowed people to climb up imaginary walls and get to places they weren't meant to get to. It's also why people would get temp bans for making it to Dev island before flying was around.
