I'm all in for banning them. It's not the system's fault it's how people use it.Knowing they can lose their account for doing such things will cause them to stop. atm it's free gold for them.

Suspensions and bans are what other games hand out when people exploit the system at the expense of other players. I think its a good idea.

The only problem with banning people is they lose money from future players when they here that one of their friends lost his account over some thing as little as that. it's an item GET OVER IT. you are go to replace it in less than 2 days why QQ over such a little problem?

SOLUTION TO YOU PROBLEM:
Make a group in your server when ur the leader so it doesn't happen.

And what happens when it's no longer "something you'll replace in less than 2 days"? What happens when it's end game content and people are ninja looting and disbanding groups left and right? What happens when this becomes a plague because a lot of stupid people didn't know about this trick - but now that it's on the forums they do and will do just this.

What happens then?

This is a system that needs to be fixed. "Disband" option is not something I've seen before and certainly not something that is needed. That has grief potential written all over it. What if someone leading doesn't get the loot they want and they just up and disband and cause the group to all flop a dungeon? Right. Great feature right there.

Oh and what if he is unable to farm himself up a full group but the opportunity arises that they need just one DPS to run the dungeon and he's waited for hours? Right. Right. I forgot--he's supposed to suck it up and bow down before people like you, right? Right.

PS: They said ban AND suspend.

You do it once - you get a suspension for 24 hours. You do it twice - suspended for a week. You do it again - banned. Why? Because what matters more : Banning one player for griefing or punishing the multitudes of people he/she/they/it screws with until they up and want to quit as well- or perhaps start talking badly enough about the game and En Masse's lack of punishment system.

Lawlessness breeds chaos like a plague.

So banning exploiters will reduce their $ income?
The way i see it more players will want to join seeing how great and how much support cares for it's costumers.

And this [filtered] isn't little as you claim it to be.

Its not free gold, they dont roll, they just disband the group so no one gets the item, not even the people that can use it. So the items go to waste, not a vendor.

Or, they lose money due to those who unsub because of this type of behavior persisting in an online video game. If it's just a bunch of pixels, then why not let who could use 'em have 'em? They worked and spent just as much time to get there, no need to shaft them just because the party leader didn't get his/her special set of pixels. Goal is to keep the game fun, which is what games are supposed to be.

Also, just adding, this happened a few times to the OP from what I've read (I believe three or four times?) And for me, in other games, it's never been that bad.

What if one isn't in a Guild? (Maybe wants to wait for launch to see what other guilds get involved?) What if people aren't reading the area chat and don't want to group up for a specific instance? There aren't an unlimited amount of people all wanting to do the same thing, and help each other out in the process, on 24/7 or available for multiple runs. So when one person, who ends up being the leader (Even after, someone -- don't know if it was OP -- applied for group leader) shafts everyone else who spent the time to get there... that's all fine and dandy and is no one's fault except for the players unlucky enough to group with that one person? The only person in the wrong here are the victims of the act?

Really, what horrific thing would happen if people who acted like this were punished? Loss of one sub?

There are people who would unsub if TERA's community were filled with people like the hypothetical group leader -- Likely, a lot more people would unsub and less people would be interested in playing. As, really, who wants to play a game with a community like that?

Game's rated M for Mature. Why not act like it?
