I'm a bit confused, shouldn't this title be 'frogster throws itself under the bus'? I mean, they said they changed it on their own, EME hasn't commented, the initial reply that it was done because of special interest groups (RE: crazy christians, crazy american politicians, etc.), is still likely correct.
BHS = devs
EnMasse = NA Publisher
Frogster = EU Publisher
Unfortunately what Frogster does with the game is ashame but EnMasse has no control over the EU version, that issue would have to be brought directly to BHS.
Seems more like a smokescreen using a hot-button issue so people see red instead of seeing that what they are doing is attempting to obtain a certain rating for the game, plain and simple.
lol ... *watches as thread spirals out of control into yet another Elin argument*
OT: Frogster seems to be grasping at straws amid the recent forum heat they got due to the last-minute announcement about blood censoring. And today they are wiping the EU TERA forums.
I say welcome to our European brothers and sisters :)
I would probably be up in arms too, if I had a panties fetish. I understand. Unfortunately for those who do, cultural nuances keep this from going mainstream.
Ok so basically its because they are afraid that the elin would attract pedo's to the game and then in turn prey on children who play the game. All of it is bogus, one any pedo out there knows kids play these games so they'll be around anyways. Two the whol protecting the children [filtered] is getting old, as a parent of two I don't put the responsibility of protecting them on anyones shoulders but mine. Its called this thing called parenting, to where you teach you children not to communicate any information that could lead to circumstances that could endanger them a games graphics/models doesn't create it, the game itself is the forum for these dangers to be present so what we are going to ban/outlaw mmo's or multiplayer games. STFU and just let the dev make and show a game they want and stop allowing governing bodies or anyone else tell us what is right or wrong for us or our children, we the parents make that decision.
