Full look at Terminus Mount + Ingame Cash Shop

Well, they'll probably just recolor the Terminus Mount red and put it on the cash shop. XD There's a precedent for it after all with the Dragon Skins.

I like the mount. Though I would prefer the White Glowing Unicorn (there's a pic of one floating around these forums somewhere).

I just hope the mount is 'account bound' so that all my alts will have access to it.

Knowing EnMasse, it'd probably be 1-per account. (Additions available in CS)

They already said that the mount is going to be account bound and it is even stated in the FAQ that you can use it on all your characters. This isn't a jab at you Yuel but misinformation and lack of information seems to be a big problem with this transition that is leading to much worse "doom and gloom" sentiments that are needed. Part of the problem lies with EME withholding information till a later time and the other part is people just not reading anything except speculation and heresay from other people.

I personally believe that the Terminus mount will stay as a founder status exclusive if only because you still need to buy the game to actually get it. Like someone mentioned earlier, the CE lion is still exclusive.

No, Fatwa. Stop making up definitions for a term just to suit your argument.

Stop twisting a term that has a negative connotation to fit your angst and appeals.

I'll take that further.

Pay to win means you can purchase items to advance your character's power with real life money.

You're specifically leaving out the bit involving the inability for anyone to advance to that level without paying money.

You're also ignoring the fact that with a pay2win game, regardless of the fact that you can still use ingame means to acquire items, if the time commitment from using ingame means becomes vastly longer than just paying money, then it becomes a problem when you want your playerbase to be on equal footing to each other. This is why EME has made Elite status very light compared to free and founder accounts.

Tera is going to have an even more robust PvP system in place and anyone that is able to circumvent time with money is going to have a great advantage to those that don't. When you have a great deal of people using money to circumvent time, then to stay competitive, you either have to pony up some cash or lag behind the pack.

The high broker prices are the result of KTera having no gold sink and large amounts of gold rewards for completing dungeons, NOT the cash shop.
There is also a huge difference between paying to skip grind and pay2win, something this community doesn't seem to understand.

Yeah Stryker, but you gotta understand on a game "filled" with 17+ year olds that usually have to work or have a family (god help it, adults playing an M rated game) time is money, people with jobs and responsibility value their time more than High schoolers who have nothing else to do, in a sense gaining time in Tera IS winning, because you get more time doing fun stuff like challenging queen and meldita HM, or Kelsaik HM or doing BG's at the top level, rather than just grinding away at making your gear a bit better to close the gap.

First of all, I'm dead certain that most of the population of this game are not adults with adult responsibilities. Why? Those people don't tend to play videogames and certainly don't tend to pay sub fees to have access to a game they won't play much. It's all kids with disposable income from retail jobs and the like, or younger kids whose parents pay for them.

Second, no matter what warped logic you use to try and justify it, paying to skip grind is not the same as paying to win. Everything in the game is accessible to everyone. There is no one who gains an absolute advantage by paying real money for anything in this game.

It's because of that specific mindset that I challenge people who declare TERA is suddenly going P2W - because you can acquire gold through the shop already.

Ktera has had insane inflation. When QoA pt2 came out people were buying quills for 500k.

I'd much rather have insane inflation than insane deflation. The broker is completely unnecessary to me--it's a convenience. I can farm crystals, farm fodder, farm enigmatics, but farming dust is difficult.

I'd much rather be selling T14 fodder and enigmatics on the broker for 5-10k each and have an average of 60,000 gold instead of an average of 6,000 gold, because no matter how inflated the economy gets, alkahest still costs the same.

More inflated economy equals much less painful enchanting. Part of why enchanting beyond +6 is such a nightmare in NA TERA is due to the overabundance of gold sinks and lack of good ways to effectively make gold.

Ok seriously now people 17+ who have job and/or family don't play games? Who do you think spend he most money I games? It's those people, because they have a job they got money to spare on a hobby. You really think There that many kids who's parents like them spend massive amount on a mmorpg? Or where people w/o a steady job get money to spend on a game when they Probbly need it for o idk FOOD? Rent? Lot of them play maybe like 5-10 hrs a week but hey it's only 15 bucks a month for like 40hrs of entertainment seem worth it since 15 bucks is like 1 2nd movie.
