GPU vs FPS : FIX IT!

All right, a well known issue: GPU operates at 30-50% and fps are low, around 25-35. Once GPU goes 90% busy, you get 60-70 FPS. Note, that Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3, for instance, keep your GPU 90% busy all the time. So its the game`s end.

EnMasse, not sure if you`re aware of this problem, but it definitely needs your attention and some performance tweaking. Average computer, i5 2400 + 560 Ti + 8Gb 1333 Ram should run this game like butter at all conditions, so make it happen.

AMD 965 black edition, 8gb ddr3, and a radeon 5870 and I only hit 30-40 fps. Seems pretty low for my machine, even tho i'm at 1920x1080 resolution

maybe this games more cpu dependent? 560ti can run the game butter smooth if you lowest the settings you can't max out with out fps dipping. i use to have that card.

There is no 'real' solution to this 'problem'. I see these same threads EVERY beta, and NOTHING has changed.

The solution is to either buy a super computer if you want 60+ fps all the time, or deal with it.

The op is correct this is a major issue that should be addressed. Im using a gtx 590 and my gpu's never go above 50-60% usage at any given time. Granted I can still hit 80 fps " hard cap" most of the time I do however drop to 40-50 in crowded areas because the game refuses to use anymore gpu power. As already stated I get better fps in bf3 which is waaaay more demanding than tera simply because the game keeps my gpu usage at 90-99% at all times. I dunno why this hasn' t been taken care of yet but it is a real issue and serious problem.

If your GPU usage is low and your FPS is low, then your CPU is bottlenecking. You'll need to upgrade your CPU if you want to get more FPS.

TERA is known to be highly CPU dependent.
